The New Easy Bake ULTIMATE Oven from Hasbro {Review} #2014UltimateHolidayGiftGuide

I received an Easy Bake Ultimate Oven from Hasbro in order to facilitate an honest review. All opinions are my own.

When I was a little girl, I wanted an Easy Bake Oven. I wanted one so badly, that when I opened my "big" gift on Christmas morning and found it was an Easy Bake Oven, I had to use it immediately! I had such a great time making little cakes for my friends and family. I'm sure they didn't look that nice, but I didn't notice. The fun was in the making!

The Easy Bake Oven has been around for a long time, and the newest model, the Easy Bake Ultimate Oven comes in two great gender-neutral colors, black and blue, because baking is not just for girls! I love that Hasbro realized this and is making baking fun for boys too!

"The special edition color of this Ultimate Oven commemorates the 50th anniversary of Easy-Bake cooking fun! You'll whip up amazing goodies with this Easy-Bake Ultimate Oven. Make 12 chocolate chip cookie bites with the delicious mix included and serve them to your friends! Just mix it, bake it and enjoy it with your amazing Easy-Bake Ultimate Oven! Oven comes with baking pan, pan tool, chocolate chip cookie mix and instructions Ages 8 and up."

I received an Easy Bake Ultimate Oven in limited edition Black to review, and here's what I found!

The actual oven is a push-through model with a cooking chamber and a cooling chamber. The package includes the oven in a cool retro design, a double-ended spatula for inserting and removing your delicious treats, a baking pan, a chocolate cookie mix, and complete instructions for making your treats.

The oven itself is super-easy to use, and an On/Off dial is the only control. There are no temperatures as all of the treats bake under the same temperature, and there is only timing it to worry about. This toy is recommended for ages 8 and up, but I think this might be okay for younger children with strict adult supervision.

The oven also features a storage drawer to keep all of your pans and mixes in! I love this idea as it will keep everything together in one place and we won't have to worry about finding all of the pieces when we want to use it.

The instructions are easy to follow and walk you through the entire process from mixing and forming your cookies, to baking, cooling, and removing, all in an easy-to-understand, visual way. I'll walk you through it and show you how to use your special spatula.

Once you're ready to bake your treats, you simply insert the baking pan into the left side of the unit. If you're doing cupcakes, place the cupcake pan on top of the included baking pan and insert.

Use the included spatula to push your pan into the baking chamber. There's no guessing how far to push it in as the spatula had notches to indicate when to stop.

Once you've timed your treats and they're ready to go into the cooling chamber, use the spatula to push them through, stopping at the second indicator at the base of the flat-head side.

Once your cooling time has finished, you simply remove the pan from the oven with the flat side of the spatula! Easy-peasy!

They also offer delicious refill kits like Red Velvet and Strawberry Cakes

Savory snacks like Party Pretzel Dippers

And my personal favorite, Chocolate Truffles! Yum!

I think this is a great toy for boys and girls. Any child who loves to get in the kitchen with mom and dad will enjoy making their own treats in their very own oven. It's a fantastic teaching tool too, and will have your kids understanding that cooking takes care and time; That delicious treats don't just come in a package at the store, or that mom makes them appear by magic! And there are enough refill package varieties to make this a toy they'll enjoy for years to come.

You can find the Easy Bake Ultimate Oven and also their refill kits for sale in the Hasbro Toy Shop, or at a retailer near you!
