Southern Mom Loves: Share Your Holiday Wish with @UPS and #WishesDelivered for Charity!

Share Your Holiday Wish with @UPS and #WishesDelivered for Charity!

Friday, December 5, 2014

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of UPS. All opinions are 100% mine.

My holiday wish is that no one goes hungry or without a warm bed to sleep in this winter season. There are so many homeless women, men, and children that need food and shelter, and we can all help by donating to our local shelters, food pantries, and kitchens. It can be gifts of money, clothes, canned goods, or even surplus produce from your garden. Everything helps.

Every package that ends up on a doorstep started from a wish, and UPSers work tirelessly to deliver everyday wishes throughout the holiday season and beyond. This season, UPS wants to share these magical stories and also make it more special with your help!

For every wish submitted with the hashtag #WishesDelivered, UPS will donate $1 to one of their charity partners (Salvation Army, Boys & Girls Club, or Toys for Tots) up to $100K! Wishes can automatically be submitted to the #WishesDelivered site by simply posting the wish on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #WishesDelivered, or going direct to the #WishesDelivered site and submitting there. It’s encouraged to share your wishes on all social channels in addition to submitting on the #WishesDelivered site.

This is all about sharing holiday wishes and stories, so please join in creating holiday cheer by sharing your own heart-felt wish for someone else (which also helps raise money for charity) and spreading the UPS #WishesDelivered stories. This is for a great cause and the more sharing and wishes the better!

How to Submit a Wish:
  • Post your wish to Twitter or Instagram with the campaign hashtag #WishesDelivered and it will automatically be submitted. Another option is to go direct to the #WishesDelivered site and manually submit there.
  • Share your own heart-felt wish for someone else. Submissions should be selfless and meaningful and made on behalf of another person.
  • Sample Tweet or Instagram message: “I wish my lil sister could go ice-skating. We don’t have a rink anywhere near our town. Would be fun for her! @ups #WishesDelivered.”
  • If submitting via Instagram, your photo can either portray your wish or simply be an image of you smiling and holding up a sign that says #WishesDelivered. Your caption should be the wish message and include @UPS and #WishesDelivered
UPS will make a $1 donation to one of their charity partners for every wish submitted, up to $100K total donation! It's so easy to help a charity this holiday season and it won't cost you a dime! You can share your wishes from November 10th through December 31st! Stop b y the #WishesDelivered site and share your wish today!
