I'm a busy mom. Sometimes situations collide, the alarm fails, or there's a surprise practice, and there's not always time to make breakfast, lunch, or even a snack. If you're anything like me, you want your kids to eat fresh, healthy foods, but they're not always the quickest to prepare. Sometimes you've just got to roll with it and make sure you have some quick and healthy options on hand.

I recently had the opportunity to try Honey Bunches of Oats' newest product, Breakfast Biscuits. My kids love the Honey Bunches of Oats breakfast cereal, so I knew they would love the taste of the biscuits, but what about nutrition? Would this fill them up and keep them going until the next meal?

I was sent 3 varieties of Honey Bunches of Oats Breakfast Biscuits to try out: Honey Roasted, Strawberry, and Chocolate Chip (Mmmmmmm.) Each packet contains 4 breakfast biscuits, which is one serving. Pair it with a fruit and milk for a balanced breakfast.

About Honey Bunches of Oats Honey Roasted Breakfast Biscuits:

These were my personal favorite because they taste just like Honey Bunches of Oats cereal. They're made with whole grain oats and real honey, and you can taste it. They're thin and crunchy like cookies, and are fantastic with a glass of milk!

About Honey Bunches of Oats Strawberry Breakfast Biscuits:

My daughter went crazy for these. Just like her dad, strawberry has always been her favorite flavor, and these are made with real strawberries. Fruity, sweet, and crunchy is a fabulous combination.

About Honey Bunches of Oats Chocolate Chip Breakfast Biscuits:

These are the flavor that my son devoured. They're just a tiny bit chocolatey, made with real dark chocolate, so they're not overwhelmingly dessert-like.

My son plays tennis for his High School team, but sometimes practice or a game starts less than an hour after he's let out from school...which is the time I have to pick my daughter up from Elementary school. That doesn't leave a lot of time for an after school snack, especially if there was a schedule change, or it was a spur-of-the-moment practice.

I knew this would be the perfect portable snack to grab as we ran out of the door to practice, and I was right. The kids loved them and I didn't hear one "I'm hungry" the whole time!

Kid approved!

I'll be sure to keep these in the pantry for those hectic mornings and afternoons. I always have fresh fruit on hand, so I can grab a packet of Breakfast Biscuits, a piece of fruit, and a travel cup of milk and be out the door in no time!
