Unique Gifts and Gorgeous Home Accessories; Check Out My Minted Order

I recently ordered from Minted and it's here! They are so much more than Holiday cards, and I'd like to show you the unique gifts I picked out, and the gorgeous home accessories I kept for myself! Don't forget there are only 2 days left to enter to win $250 to shop at Minted (CLOSED)!


I showed you some of my favorite holiday cards from Minted recently, but they are so much more than custom-printed cards! I recently shopped for holiday gifts at Minted and they have a huge selection of custom-printed stationery, announcements, party decor, journals, and map prints, but also pillows, lampshades, curtains, linens, art, and housewares.


They are a marketplace of independent artists, so you're sure to find something (or a gazillion things) to your taste.

I originally thought I would be shopping for gifts, but there were a few pieces I had to pick up for myself. First, the gifts.


My daughter has been asking for a big-girl journal, and these are perfect and customizable. There are so many designs to choose from, and you can have their name on the front, or even their picture. I decided on the Floral Mix journal by j.bartyn as this is perfectly her style.


The journal came with clear protective plastic outer pages to keep the messes off of that beautiful print. You can choose for your book to be spiral-bound or bound with grommets, and for the interior pages you can choose for it to be a journal, address book, or a planner.


You can also choose for the journal pages to be lined, blank, or gridded depending on what you want to use it for. My daughter writes stories, so I chose lined pages, and I was even able to put a photo inside with a message and an inspirational quote. Perfect.

Then their custom map art caught my eye.


How cool! I have a bit of a thing for maps, and I can imagine so many cool ways to use these. You can do an arrangement of custom maps of the birthplaces of your family members, or line a hallway with maps of your vacation destinations.


I chose to do a map of our hometown. You simply put in an address or a city, choose how you would like your map centered and zoomed, and an artist gets your proof ready to approve. Very cool.


You can put in custom text that will appear at the bottom. I put in the city and state, but you can use any personal message that you would like.

I thought I was done, but then I started browsing Home Accessories! There were a few things I "needed", so this is the perfect section for me. How gorgeous is that green milk glass cake plate?!


I decided on the 12" large white cake plate because my current cake stands will only hold up to a 9" cake. I know, problems. It's a neutral color, so I don't have to worry about my cake design or colors clashing. It's perfect for a holiday display, a tower of cookies, or any other delectable treat you can imagine!


I also have a thing for Apothecary jars; They're so versatile, you can change up your display for the seasons or fill it with memories.


This one is 16.5" high, so it's fairly large and will make an impressive display. You can fill it with pine cones, spruce sprigs, peppermints, or your favorite (wrapped) chocolate truffles for the holidays. You can fill it with sand and shells from your beach vacation or rocks, moss, and twigs from your mountain vacation.


These large jars are a must-have for me and since my last one was broken in a tragic kickball incident, I needed to treat myself. ;) I think I'll try my hand at making a Terrarium this spring.
