Yes, guys! I'm back with an unboxing of the Simply Earth Essential Oil Recipe Box for February before it even comes out. I'm so happy to be able to share these with you guys a little early so that you have time to get one before they sell out and super excited for this theme: Natural Makeup! This month's box comes with some really cool recipes for natural eye, cheek, and lip products and scents to get you ready for the day. I'll show you everything that came inside February's box and also sharing the recipe for a DIY Natural Eyeshadow!

As always, the box comes with a sheet of stickers to label your DIY essential oil creations with. I always appreciate this as someone who loves to do DIY bath & body products. Sometimes you have quite a few random jars around and can't quite remember what you made or were experimenting with.

The box always comes with 6 recipe cards and this month's theme is Natural Makeup but with a Slay the Day twist. :)

This month's recipes are:

  • Natural Eyeshadow
  • DIY Mix and Match Eyeshadow
  • Natural Subtle Cheek Tint
  • Moisturizing Tinted Lip Gloss
  • Good Morning Beautiful Diffuser Blend
  • Empowerment Roll-On

The 4 oils in this month's box are:

The box also comes with 4 small jars for the eyeshadows and 2 larger, round tins for the blush and tinted lip gloss.

The ingredients included in this box are Arrowroot, Cranberry, and Beet Root powders.

I was thrilled about the oils included in this month's box and both my daughter and I were super-excited to make some makeup!

The eyeshadow recipe included in the box has directions for making pale pink, mauve, light brown, and golden brown colors using ingredients you might have on hand, like cocoa powder, turmeric, allspice, and nutmeg. We had some cocoa powder in the pantry, so below we're making the pale pink color.

Ingredients
Eyeshadow base:

  • 1/2 teaspoon Arrowroot powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon solid Coconut oil

Pale Pink:

  • 1/2 teaspoon Beet Root powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon unsweetened Cocoa powder

Mauve:

  • 3/4 teaspoon Allspice
  • 3/4 teaspoon Beet Root powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cocoa powder

Light Brown:

  • 3/4 teaspoon Cocoa powder

Golden Brown:

  • 3/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric

Directions:

1. Place the Arrowroot powder in a small bowl and mix in the ingredients for the color you'd like to make.

2. In another small bowl, melt the Coconut oil in the microwave and add it to the powder mixture.

3. Stir until it is well mixed. The mixture will be crumbly. Press it into a small container.

It turned out looking very dark, but it is actually a very pale pink on.

This was so easy to make and my daughter was thrilled to have a natural eyeshadow to play around with.
