Hi, guys, I'm back with the Allure Beauty Box unboxing for February 2020! If you didn't see my note at the end of the last BoxyCharm unboxing, I resubscribed for a year for a few big reasons. π So February's box was stuffed full of 7 products + 2 bonus products for new subscribers. It includes goodies from Wander Beauty, Appeal Cosmetics, Belif, Honey Jarret, Bareminerals, NYX, a bonus from Olay, & 2 new member bonuses from Giorgio Armani. I'll walk you through it + I've got FULL SPOILERS for March's box. Let's unbox it!
Allure Beauty Box - February 2020
When you open it, there's a little magazine right on top telling you all about the products inside and every month there are exclusive discount codes included in the booklet for some of the box products. I always share these just in case someone can use them!
This month's codes are:
- Wander Beauty: WBALLURE to receive 20% off your purchase (2/1/20 - 3/31/20)
- NYX Cosmetics: ALLURENYX to receive 25% off your purchase (2/1/20 - 3/31/20)
- BareMinerals: MOREBEAUTY to receive 15% off your purchase (2/1/20 - 3/31/20, excludes customizable kits.)
- Honey Jarret: ALLURE30 to receive 30% off your purchase (2/1/20 - 3/31/20)
- Appeal Cosmetics: ALLURE20 to receive 50% off your purchase!!! (2/1/20 - 3/31/20)
First out of the box is a full-sized Appeal Ultra Creme Lipstick in Muse ($21).
Muse is a pretty, dusky rose color, which I like, but I'm not a big fan of glossy, creamy lipsticks. If I take the time to wear lipstick, I like a good matte, and it better be super-long wearing. There is absolutely no information on their site about the formula, but the Allure brochure says that it is a barely-there tint of color.
I already have something very similar in a Burt's Bees lipstick that matches my lip color pretty darn well for a no-makeup lipstick look, so I think this one will land in my Poshmark closet.

Next out is a bonus item, a sample of the Olay Regenerist Retinol 24 Night Moisturizer ($28.94 for 1.7 oz., so this sample is worth about $3).
"Olay Regenerist Retinol 24 Facial Moisturizer penetrates deep into skin’s surface layers. Our proprietary blend of Vitamin B3 + Retinol complex hydrates skin for 24 hours for a bounty of benefits. You’ll see visible improvements in fine lines & wrinkles, smoothness, brightness, firming, dark spots, and pores."
I've been using Olay on and off for most of my life and I really like the Regenerist line. Retinol can make a huge difference in how your skin looks, so I'm glad to hear that there's a good brand in the drugstore using retinol.
Retinol can be extremely drying and this one promises not to irritate skin and moisturize so I'll give it a go and let you know what I think.

Next out is an sample-sized jar of Belif Peat Miracle Revital Eye Cream (the 1.68 oz. is $58 so this sample is worth approx. $5.80).
"This rich, velvety-smooth moisturizer is formulated with mineral-rich peat extract to provide hydration and support antiaging. The extract has a rare blend of over 80 different herbs that effectively promote natural skin turnover while improving the look of the skin’s elasticity for smoother, younger-looking skin."
At first, I thought ugh, another eye cream since I have about 7 open in my bathroom at the moment, but after reading about this one I'm hyped to try it. I opened the jar and it was surprisingly packed with product, then I turned over the jar.
I don't understand why they do this false-bottom thing. I mean, I do, but it's wasteful and not flattering for the brand. Just make a smaller jar using less plastic, guys.

Next out is the NYX Cosmetics Pro Contour Brush ($14).
"Show off your sculpting skills with the NYX Professional Makeup Pro Contour Brush. This synthetic makeup brush features a tapered shape that applies and blends powder contour formulas like a dream."
I love getting brushes and tools in boxes and this one sounds like it will make a great addition to my collection. You could have gotten this one, a powder brush, or a buffing brush in your box, and while I was hoping for a big, fluffy powder brush to replace my favorite powder brush that I've loved so much it's shedding, this sounds like a great tool that will up my contour game.

Next out is a sample of the Wander Beauty Highlighter in After Hours ($???).
This is a good-sized pan in cardboard packaging with a magnetic closure, so I thought this might be full-sized but the brochure shows a much larger plastic compact and lists the price at $30. I can't find this bigger highlighter for sale anywhere, but I did find this exact little guy for sale on Amazon for approx. $10.
I am a fan of Wander Beauty and have a few of their palettes and lots of their skincare, so I was happy to get this little compact. Little known fact: I'm allergic to mineral oil and have had several rashes to teach me that lesson, so I'm happy that they're such a clean brand.
This color is a really beautiful golden-pink shimmer and I bet it would look good over makeup or even bare skin for a glowy, dewy, no-makeup day.

Nope, we're still not done! Next out is a sample of the BareMinerals Skinlongevity Vital Power Influsion (The 1.7 oz. is $58 so this sample is worth approx. $8.70).
"A dynamic, first of its kind infusion, our...serum is formulated with our patented Long Life Herb Extract that helps reduce visible signs of aging and damage, improves skin's resiliency and suppleness, and protects the skin against age-accelerating factors. An exquisitely nourishing formula replenishes your skin's vitality and natural glow."
It's a nice-sized sample but they promise results in as little as 14 days and I'm pretty sure this isn't going to last that long. I guess I'll be giving it a try anyway? π€·♀️

Next is a Super Beau'Tea Rose Sheet Mask from Honey Jarret (The 5-pc. set is $14 so the single mask is worth $2.80).
"Infused with Honey Jarret Tea, our beauty-boosting superfood formula, the Super Beau’tea Mask in Rose rejuvenates the skin. Ideal for use as a weekly pick-me-up treatment, the mask hydrates and deeply cleanses for brighter and healthier skin."
This is actually a really affordable sheet mask that sounds lovely. Y'all know how much I love a good mask, so I'm happy to give this one a try!

We're close to the end now, guys! These are the 2 free new member bonuses and I was so excited to try them. These are the extras you'll get if this is your first beauty box from Allure.
First is a sample of the Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro Liquid Lipstick in 206-cedar (the full-size in $38 so this sample is worth approx. $8.64).
"Introducing Lip Maestro Matte Nature Collection - Find your perfect nude with 10 universally flattering shades inspired by earth’s beauty. Ranging from sandy beiges to deep raspberry, the Matte Nature collection was created with all skin tones in mind.
The award-winning liquid lip color imparts an intense depth of color while giving lips ultimate comfort and a rich-looking finish. Lips appear instantly fuller and radiant, while a non-sticky texture offers 8-hours of comfort and all-day wear."
I received the color Cedar, which is a warm brown-red and looks much more brown in person vs. on the website. It absolutely does not go with my skin tone but I'm absolutely going to try it out to check the wear time. It sounds like a great product, so I'm very curious!

The 2nd bonus, and the last item in the box (congrats for getting to the end! π), is a sample-size of the Giorgio Armani Rouge d'Armani Matte in 400-Four Hundred (the full-size is $38 so this sample is worth $13.30).
"Rouge D’Armani Matte Lipstick is a long-lasting matte lipstick with intensely pigmented color and coverage in a single application. Offering no compromise on comfort with 50% more pigments than a traditional matte lipstick."
Holy, moly, that color!!! π I think I'm a convert and I haven't even tried it yet! 400 is a crimson red and it's right up my alley. I'm really excited about trying this one!

So that was the full February Beauty Box from Allure! This one had some really great products inside that I'm excited to try. I think there were so many extras because they included a lot of more affordable brands in this one. The value of this month's box was lower than usual, but I'm not mad about it.
The box costs $15 per month and this month's box had a value of approximately $65.50 and the bonus new member gifts had an extra value of $21.94. If you subscribe now this will be your first box and you'll also get the Armani extras. The deals change all of the time so check back on their site to see the current deals before deciding.
What do you think about this month's box?
SPOILERS AHEAD! Allure Beauty Box March 2020 items:
- Mamonde Red Energy Recovery Serum OR Mamonde Rose Water Toner OR Mamonde Petal Spa Oil to Foam Cleanser
- Full-Size Floss My New Favourite Gloss in LAX or YUL
- Full-Size Rodial Glamolash Mascara XXL
- Dr. Botanicals Lemon Superfood All-in-One Rescue Butter OR Full-Size LuΓ© by Jean Seo Cleansing Powder
- Lapcos Hyaluronic Moisturizing Sheet Mask OR Lapcos Ceramide Sheet Mask
- Rituals The Ritual of Ayurveda Shower Foam OR Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil
Oh, no. Have I made a terrible mistake subscribing for another year?
Everything in the screenshot of the March box is new to me but then I looked at the full list of all of the box possibilities. I have virtually every alternate product that's listed from a previous Allure Beauty Box. D'oh!
I'm also a new subscriber with them since my last subscription was through Amazon so they don't know that I've received most of these. Double d'oh!!
With my luck, I'll get every alternate for a box full of repeats. Welp, I'm paid up for a year so I guess we'll see next month! π¬Come on, Urban Decay! π€π€π€

One cool thing is that I got the Mega Bundle with my 1-year subscription! Yay! It comes with 25 products valued over $254.
I mean, it's just leftovers from past boxes and I've gotten 4 out of 6 of the products shown in the photo, but I'm still excited about it. I haven't opened it yet because I'm planning on unboxing it in a video, so that will be coming soon!
There is one product shown that I'm really excited about getting because I subscribed to the Allure boxes just to get it but was too late and started with the next month's box. Can you guess which one it is? Probably. Will I set it the whole thing on fire if I don't get it? Maybe. π Maybe not, but I'll be really disappointed.
As of right now, you can still get that deal, but I think you have to subscribe through Allure's site instead of Amazon. You can find that here.
