About IndieStitch
At IndieStitch, we simplify your creative journey with monthly sewing kits packed with amazing patterns, beautiful fabrics, and guided tutorials. Transform your sewing dreams into reality and proudly say, ‘Thanks, I made it!’
That’s what makes IndieStitch so special. When you open up your box, you’ll have exactly what you need to get back to sewing for you.
It's also a fantastic box for sewing beginners who want to jump into making their own clothing. All of the projects offered in the boxes are for a "confident beginner" so even if you're fairly new to sewing, you can complete these projects.
IndieStitch does a step-by-step Sew Along for each pattern that is uploaded to the Membership Hub every month. In addition to that, the Facebook group sew-along is another way to learn and share and ask questions; It's a lovely little community!
Even if you're a beginning beginner, these kits are 100% doable.
Subscription Options
As you can see above, there are 12-month, 6-month, and 1-month plans and the cost per box goes down with the longer plans. This year we get a new option to pre-pay for the plans for an added discount!
Plus, you can use the code SOUTHERNMOM50 to get 50% off your first box on the 6 and 12-month plans! That's a HUGE savings!
How Does It Work?
- When you sign up for IndieStitch, you'll provide your size range for the printed pattern that comes in your box every month.
- Once subscribed, you'll receive an email around the end of the month (28th - End of Month) to choose the fabric for the next month's pattern.
- Your box ships out around the 4th of each month.
- You can choose to sew it up on your own using the pattern instructions, use the video tutorials provided in the IndieStitch Membership Hub, and/or join the Sew Along that happens in the IndieStitch Facebook group starting on the Monday around the 14th.
- Your membership will renew for the next month between the 13th - 15th.
- The next month's pattern is revealed on the Second Week of the Month on all social media channels (or here on my blog 😉.)
There is an IndieStitch shop where you can buy some of the past boxes, fabrics from past boxes by the half-yard, notions, and the Mystery Pack, a limited-time mystery package of fabrics, tools, notions, threads, and sewing swag from past IndieStitch boxes for just $30!
If you'd like to see some of their past boxes, check out all of my IndieStitch unboxings here.
Monthly Free Gift!
If you complete the current month's project and post it to the facebook group in the designated thread before the end of the month, you will earn a free gift in your next box! I usually take my time making the boxes but I actually finished on time last month so I've got a free gift to show you in this month's box. This is such a fun part of the box experience!

IndieStitch March 2024 Unboxing
The IndieStitch Box comes with a card on top that includes all of the pertinent information for the month including a code that you can use to download a digital version of the pattern and instructions. It gives you the current month's Sew Along dates and a QR code that takes you to the sewing resources for the month. The flip side details the items in your box.
The shitake color is a muted mauve. It was hard to photograph the color correctly but I love it!
Next out are the notions to help us make our pattern this month. We have a spool of matching Gütermann thread, two machine needles for our knit fabric, and a length of sew-in interfacing.
Next out is our printed pattern, the Barbara Dress from Annie et ses Coutures. It's printed on thick copy shop paper so it will last for years to come.
Next out is our first extra, a Sewing Theme Zip Pouch. How stinkin' cute is this pouch?! I keep all of my most-used sewing tools in a basket on the sewing table but it's starting to overflow. This is a cute solution to keep my most necessary notions from getting too jumbled and hard to find.
Next is our 2nd extra, a Sheet of Sewing Themed Stickers. These are super-cute, too! They are more of a vinyl-type sticker and would be cute to decorate your sewing machine or a sewing binder with.
Next is our 3rd extra, a Walermelon Airhead! My childhood self loved these! It's so nice to get a little treat to eat while sewing.
Last out is the free gift item I received for completing and posting last month's project in the IndieStitch Sew Along Facebook Group. It's a sweet little tabletop pin cushion! This will come in handy for me; I'm currently using a little decorative dish for collecting the pins I pull out of my work while sewing.
That was the IndieStitch March 2024 box. I really love getting these boxes every month with a cool new clothing project and handy sewing notions, straight to my door. It's always a fun surprise to see what the extras are and they're always good. I can't wait to sew this easy knit dress up for the warmer weather!
I absolutely love that they include everything you might need to just get down to sewing, including the correct fabric type, thread, and needles for your machine. We also get a cool, indie pattern. This box is a treasure for home sewists!
