September 2025 Pattern
The piece we're making this month is the Capsule Cardigan from Greenstyle Patterns.
As a busy mom, we don't always have time to pick out the perfect outfit. Don't worry, we give you the Capsule Cardigan! Toss it on over literally any tee or tank, with jeans or even with yoga pants! It has that two different lengths and a loose fit that we all love. There is an option for 3/4 sleeves or full length and don't forget the pockets! They are a perfect size and there is even an option for a hidden phone pocket to keep it secure.... we love little details like these!
September 2025 Fabric Choices
We have 7 fabrics to choose from this month:
- Pesto Sweater Rib Knit (69% Polyester, 27% Rayon, 4% Spandex)
- Cognac Sweater Rib Knit (85% Polyester, 15% Spandex)
- Ocean Hacci Sweater Knit (95% Polyester, 5% Spandex)
- Blush Sweater Knit (50% Rayon, 28% Polyester, 22% Nylon)
- Ivory Sweater Rib Knit (98% Polyester, 2% Spandex)
- Black Sweater Rib Knit (98% Polyester, 2% Spandex)
- Silver Tri Blend Sweater Knit (80% Polyester, 10% Rayon, 2% Spandex)
IndieStitch September 2025 Unboxing
Inside the box, the card on top gives you all of the information you need for the month's project, including a code to download the instructions + a digital version of the pattern for free (you will get the printed pattern in your box.)
It also gives you the current month's Sew Along dates and a QR code that takes you to the sewing hub for video tutorials. The flip side details all of the items in your box.
Next out is the fabric. I chose the Ivory Sweater Rib Knit, and we received 3 yards of this 64" wide fabric to make our cardigan.
This is such a perfect creamy white for fall and winter outfits and the fabric itself feels a bit heavy and has a luxurious drape.
Next out are the notions to help us make our pattern this month: a spool of matching Gütermann thread and two ball-point needles for knits in the correct size for the fabric weight.
Next out is our printed pattern, the Capsule Cardigan from Greenstyle Patterns. It comes with sizes US 0 through US 30 in Petite, Regular, and Tall height ranges. As always, it's printed on a thick, durable paper.
Next out is our 1st extra item, an IndieStitch pen. This wasn't listed as one of the "extra" items on the card, but I'm listing it as one here since it came in our box.
Next out is our 2nd extra item, a Wooden Sweater Comb. This will help to remove fuzz and pills from sweaters, coats, and other items. Very on-theme!
Last out is our 3rd extra item, a 28mm Rotary Cutter. I love using a rotary cutter, especially with fabrics that tend to stretch or slide around when cutting. This one is very on-theme as well!

SPOILERS AHEAD!
So far, we know that the October pattern will be the Sunset Lounge Pants from Sinclair Patterns!
Fitted at the hips and loose through the leg, mid-rise lounge pants in full or below-the-knee length. Offered in a regular version with a yoga or ruched waistband or in a maternity version with a low-rise waistline and a contoured ruched waistband (up to 35 weeks).
This is a versatile pattern that can become so many styles depending on your fabric choice, such as pajama pants, lounging pants, workout pants, casual pants, and many others. Very easy and quick to sew; A perfect project for beginners.
