Spring and summer are my favorite seasons. I love to shake off the winter blahs and get to playing and enjoying the warm days. Something about the season turning always gets my creativity going, and I've come up with a wonderful sparkling blended drink to help you enjoy the warmer days ahead. This Very Raspberry Lemonade Sparkling "Mock"quiri is made with an easy raspberry puree and is perfect for hot summer days or entertaining a crowd.

If you think making a fruit puree is difficult, think again! All you need is a blender and a mesh strainer to make a sweet puree that is perfect for desserts and refreshing fruit drinks. Try mixing in strawberries or blackberries for a delicious flavor twist.

This mocktail gets its sparkle from Dasani Sparkling Water in Raspberry Lemonade. It will give your beverage a deeper flavor and a fun fizz!

Very Raspberry Lemonade Sparkling "Mock"quiri

Source: Southern Mom Loves
Time: 10 minutes
Servings: 4

  • 6 oz. (1-1/2 cups) raspberries
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 lemons
  • 12 oz. (1 can) Dasani Sparkling Water in Raspberry Lemonade
  • ice

  • Blender
  • bowl
  • fine-mesh strainer
  • lemon juicer
  • rubber spatula

  1. First, make the raspberry puree: In a blender, puree the raspberries and sugar until smooth. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer to remove most of the seeds. Rinse out your blender jar.

  2. Juice an entire lemon for the mixture. We'll be using the other lemon for garnish.

  3. Pour the raspberry puree, lemon juice, and can of Dasani Sparkling Raspberry Lemonade into your blender jar and then fill completely with ice. Blend on high until the ice is completely slushy and spoon into tall glasses.

  4. To make lemon wedge garnishes: Cut each end off of your lemon, then stand it up on one cut end. Cut the lemon in half down the middle, then into quarters. Cut those quarters into half and you have cute little wedges. Use a knife to carefully cut a slit up through the middle and you'll be able to slide it right onto the edge of your glass.

Slip in a straw and enjoy this refreshing, blended, sparkling masterpiece! This drink is perfect for summer get-togethers, or just a plain old hot day, and the kids will love it! There are any number of flavor combinations you can try out, so have fun and make every moment sparkle this summer!

Dasani Sparkling Water comes in loads of great flavors, with two new flavors just hitting stores: Strawberry Lemonade and Tropical Pineapple.  They come in 8-packs, so you can stock your pantry and whip up these frozen "Mock"quiris all summer.
