Fast and Delicious Dinner Ideas
Saturday, October 15, 2016This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Save-A-Lot. The opinions and text are all mine.
Let's face it, this time of year is crazy! With the kids going back to school and the holidays fast approaching, this is the busiest time of year for families. We all like to serve those Pinterest-pretty meals but don't always have the time...or do we? I tried out some of Save-A-Lot's new America’s Choice® Creations products, fancied them up for my family, and everything was ready in 15 minutes. 15 MINUTES, Y'ALL!
I shopped at my local Jackson Save-A-Lot to find all of the brand new America’s Choice® Creations products. Find the closest store near you.
America’s Choice® Creations are the decadent new line at Save-A-Lot made with high-quality, gourmet ingredients. The delicious taste and low prices make them a fantastic choice for your busy family. They make mouthwatering and quick dishes like Honey Bourbon Salmon, Crab Cakes, Caprese Italian Sausages, Bacon Mac n Cheese, and Black Angus Bacon & Cheddar Burgers, and that doesn't even include dessert!
I grabbed the Black Angus Bacon & Cheddar Burgers for our dinner that night. They're easy to prepare, just put them on a foil-lined pan and broil them for 9 minutes for medium. I dressed these with the usual burger accompaniments but wanted to add a Southwest twist with sliced avocado and a little cilantro.
I also grabbed the Bacon Mac n Cheese because seriously, bacon. It was super creamy and delicious and stuffed with real diced bacon. No gross, fake bacon here! This was a favorite with everyone.
Also favorites: The Peanut Butter Truffle Brownie and the Pecan Caramel Brownie Cookies! My daughter liked the brownie best, but I couldn't stop nibbling on the cookies. They're my new favorite, so I'm going to have to stock up (and maybe hide them from the kids!)
For dessert, I got the New York Style Cheesecake and made it into a dreamy Turtle Cheesecake and it took me about 2 minutes! Grab some caramel and chocolate sauces and pecan halves and you can dress up your cheesecake yourself. Drizzle away!
The macaroni took about 11 minutes in the microwave, so I started it cooking with the burgers under the broiler, dressed the cheesecake, and we were ready to eat in about 15 minutes. You would never have guessed how little time it took from the dinner I put on the table that night!
Everyone was so impressed with dinner, and it wasn't just the presentation either.
The burgers were flavorful and had chunks of bacon and cheddar throughout the patty, but of course, the macaroni and cheese stole the show for the kids!
