IndieStitch October 2026 Unboxing
Inside the box, the card on top lists all of the information you need for the month's project, including a code to download the instructions + a digital version of the pattern for free (you will get the printed pattern in your box).
It also gives you this month's Community Sew Along dates and a QR code that takes you directly to the Indiestitch Hub for the month's video tutorial and resources. The other side of the card details the items in the box and gives you a spoiler for next month's pattern.
First out is the fabric. I chose the Heather Gray Brushed Fleece.
I wanted something super-soft for the project, and this fabric didn't disappoint! It's brushed on one side, so it gives a little bit of a fluffy texture as well, and the neutral color will go with just about everything.
Next are the notions to help us make our pattern this month: a spool of coordinating Gutermann thread and two ball-point needles for knits in the correct size for the fabric weight.
We received a 'Pattern Variations' Sewing Reference card for this month. These cards are a great mini sewing lesson!
Next up is our printed pattern, the Feyre Oversized Sweatshirt & Hoodie from Made for Mermaids. It's printed on a thick copy paper, making it more durable to reuse for years to come.
Next is our 1st extra item, a Reusable Lint Brush. "Keep clothes and fabric looking neat with a Reusable Lint Brush! Perfect for removing lint, fuzz, and loose fibers from garments and other fabric surfaces. A handy sewing-room essential that can be used again and again whenever you need a quick cleanup."
Next is our 2nd extra item, a roll of Fusible Hem Tape. "Get clean, even hems without a single stitch using Fusible Hem Tape! Great for pants, skirts, sleeves, and quick alterations. Just place it inside the fold and press with your iron, and it bonds the layers together for a neat, flat finish."
Last out is our 3rd extra item, a box of 100 Glass-Head pins. These are great if you need to iron something with the pins in because the heads won't melt under the heat. Love the colors!

SPOILERS AHEAD!
So far, we know that the November sewing pattern will be the Interlude Jacket from Love Notions!
The Interlude Jacket is the perfect blend of classic structure and modern versatility—and an ideal layer for those in-between seasons. Designed for woven fabrics, this pattern features a beautifully shaped raglan sleeve with a built-in seam and dart for an elevated, well-tailored fit you won’t find in typical jackets. Choose from two stylish views: a traditional cropped denim jacket or a full-length version with a waist casing for customizable definition. Thoughtful details like breast pockets, welt pockets, and a polished collar make this a rewarding sew. Available in sizes XS–5X with an optional full bust adjustment, the Interlude Jacket is designed to fit a wide range of bodies.
- Two body styles: Cropped & full length
- Princess seams
- Raglan sleeve with seam and dart
- Full-length view features a casing for waist definition
- Full bust option
I can't wait for this one! I absolutely love the longer-length jacket with the drawstring waist. The shorter length would be so cute over Fall dresses. I may have to make both!
