We have a whole host of holiday traditions in our family, and most of them revolve around food or cooking. We love to bring food, give food gifts, and cook for each other. Today, I have an awesome Holiday Hostess Baking Gift Basket for you that includes both a food gift and the gift of sharing holiday cooking! This fun basket, full of holiday baking necessities, also includes a Dark Chocolate Cranberry Oatmeal cookie mix with a printable recipe card. Keep reading to check out all of the goodies and learn how to make it yourself!

You guys know how much I love putting together a gift basket and this time I really had some fun. I wanted to not only gift one of my favorite cookie mixes, but also gift everything the recipient would need to make them.

I shopped at Big Lots (another holiday tradition that was one of my mom's favorite) for all of the supplies and found everything I would need and more. They have everything you could want to prepare your home for the season. From small decor items to furniture, they've got you covered.

I was greeted by a super-nice employee named Linda as soon as I walked in the door. Friendly people make my day! <3

First, I hit the holiday section for a basket and some cute holiday dish towels. Then I had fun in the kitchen section picking out oven mitts, measuring cups, kitchen tools, and a cookie scoop. I also found the perfect jar for the cookie mix: a clear chalkboard container! Walking to the checkout counter, I came across some holiday spatula scrapers and couldn't resist grabbing a Santa spatula. How cute!

The cookie mix is so easy to make. Just get your ingredients out and pour them in your container layer by layer. It makes such a pretty gift!
