We all know the benefits of daily moisturizing: hydrating and plumping, smoothing, softening, and delaying the signs of aging. They're wonderful benefits, but it's such a pain to keep up with sometimes. If you're like me and you don't always have the time or energy to do the full-body rubdown every night, keep reading to find out how I simplified my routine without sacrificing effectiveness.

Growing up, I always remember my mom moisturizing after her shower every night and telling me I should be doing the same. She had extremely dry skin and always kept a big jar of rich body butter in the bathroom. I didn't think it was such a big deal because my skin wasn't dry and I was young and I was also invincible...or something like that.

I halfheartedly took her advice and moisturized my face every night. I thought that would be enough.

What I didn't anticipate was that my skin would change so drastically as I aged. I started noticing big changes in my early 20's. My skin started feeling tight and itchy, so itchy that I thought I must be allergic to something. I'd never had to deal with dry skin and wasn't clued in until it became flaky-looking.

From then on I've been moisturizing my skin - all of it - daily, or as daily as a busy mom can manage when she just wants to fall into bed at night.

You know the routine: shower, towel off, moisturize, dress. Makes sense, right? What if it made even more sense to switch it up?

Did you know that your moisturizer is most effective if you use it in the first 3 minutes after your bath or shower? After showering, your skin cells expand, providing an easy pathway for moisture to instantly lock into just-showered skin. Makes sense that it's even more effective if you use a moisturizer while you're still wet.

I recently tried Jergens® Wet Skin Moisturizer with Restoring Argan Oil and I'm loving it. It slides on smoothly and absorbs instantly. There's no rubbing! The oils don't feel oily either. You're left with super-soft, prettily-scented skin.

After trying it, my skin feels even better and more nourished. I'm a big fan of Argan Oil for my hair, so it makes sense that it would also work with my skin.

There are four different formulas to try. I couldn't help myself, so I grabbed the Nourishing Monoi Oil formula, too. They smell ah-mazing and both are super-rich, nourishing formulas.

What's great is that when you're applying these on wet skin, you use much, much less than if you were applying moisturizer on dry skin, so you waste a lot less of the product, but still get all of the benefits. A bottle of this will last me twice as long as my old moisturizer.

Another plus is that I keep it in the shower and not on my overcrowded counter. I'm one of those people that will forget if it's not right where I need it, when I need it, so when I finish my shower it's right there in front of me. A quick slather, towel off, and I'm done. DONE.

My skin feels silky smooth and hydrated and I didn't do nearly the work I was doing before. It's so quick to apply and your towel does the work distributing it.

Jergens is a brand that has been around for our mothers and grandmothers and I love that they're still innovating!

Their wet skin moisturizers are my new fave and are perfect for my crazy, busy life. Anything that allows me to take care of myself more simply and easily is a win in my book.

You can find Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizers in Walmart stores in the Health & Beauty section. Give them a try and tell me how awesome your skin feels!
