Hi, guys, I'm back with the Allure Beauty Box unboxing for December. I have been so impatient for this box because it's their collab with Anastasia Beverly Hills! ABH is a high-end brand and I've only had the chance to try out a few of their products, so getting more ABH goodies is making me squee! It includes 3 ABH products and also products from First Aid Beauty and Christophe Robin. I'll walk you through it + I've got the FULL SPOILERS for January's box. I'm also contemplating the future of my Allure Beauty Box unboxings and would love your input. Let's unbox it!

Allure Beauty Box - December 2019

The box ships in the new design, a smaller, white box with silver foil lettering. Remember when I wondered if they would redesign the box again for larger items? Nope.

When you open it, there's a guide/mag right on top telling you all about the products inside and every month, there are exclusive discount codes included in the booklet for some of the box products, and I always share these just in case someone can use them.

This month's codes are:

  • Anastasia Beverly Hills: ABHXALLURE to receive 25% off a single product (12/1/19 - 1/31/20)
  • First Aid Beauty: ALLURE to receive 15% off a single product. Excludes sales and kits (12/1/19 - 3/31/20)

First out of the box is a full-sized First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer ($24). It was one of two products I could have gotten, the other being First Aid Beauty Hello Fab Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer.

"Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer is lightweight and quick-absorbing, providing immediate hydration with a velvety soft finish. Skin is left looking and feeling beautifully smooth and perfectly prepped for makeup or no makeup days. Meadowfoam seed oil, shea butter, and avocado oil soften and hydrate skin while Ceramides help support the skin’s protective barrier. The formula dries down to a velvety soft finish, making it perfect to layer under makeup. This product is cruelty-free."

I'm glad I got this one as I like having a gentle, hydrating moisturizer without Vitamin C or retinols on hand. I actually gave myself a bit of a chemical burn the other day by mixing products that probably shouldn't have been mixed and I was digging through my stash for a moisturizer that was just plain-jane hydration. 😩Could have used this one then!

Next out is a 1.35 oz. sample-sized jar of Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt (8.33 oz. is $53 so this sample is worth approx. $8.62)

"This scalp exfoliator and shampoo removes styling product and dry shampoo buildup and chemical residues from color treatments while working to rebalance itchy and/or oily scalps. Formulated with sea salt, a natural exfoliant, this shampoo also eliminates impurities and supports natural, healthy blood circulation."

I was a bit confused because the only clue that this is a hair product are the words "Sensitive or Oily Scalp" at the very bottom. It's also apparently a shampoo? It smells amazing; Floral and slightly herbaceous, so I look forward to giving this a try!

Next out is the first of 3 products from Anastasia Beverly Hills, the Clear Brow Gel in a .085 oz. sample size (The .26 oz. is $22 so this sample is worth approx. $7)

"This long-wearing clear gel sets and defines brows without fuss. The soothing chamomile formula also conditions hair and offers a lustrous, natural look."

I've tried this one before and really liked it. After using a pencil to fill, this gel will make sure your brows stay in place all day.

Next out is the first full-sized ABH product, the Liquid Lipstick in Bohemian ($20).

"A full-pigment, matte formula that dries to a weightless powder for smudge-proof wearability."

This is described as a Cedar Brown and it reminds me of the go-to dark lip colors of the '90s. I'm really loving it!

It dries down quickly and when I went to wipe this swatch off with a wet paper towel, it didn't budge. Scraping didn't budge it. I had to go and get makeup remover to get it off of my hand! It has excellent staying power.

Last out of the box is the biggie from ABH, the Moonchild Glow Kit ($40).

"The Moonchild Glow Kit features six, highly blendable, ultra-fine shades that will leave a shimmer finish. Just apply them on the face and all over with a damp makeup brush for an added glow."

The shades in this palette are: Blue Ice (white with ice blue reflect), Star (iridescent mint and platinum), Purple Horseshoe (glittering lavender with artic blue), Pink Heart (pearl white with pink opal), Lucky Clover (shamrock-infused gold with canary yellow), & Blue Moon (icy blue with silver reflect).

These formulas are ridiculously creamy and pigmented, but I guess that's what the higher price tag is for. The color shifts surprised me on a few shades, but overall, they're really gorgeous highlighters!

Swatched on my arm from left to right are Blue Ice, Star, Purple Horseshoe, Pink Heart, Lucky Clover, & Blue Moon. I will probably get the most use out of Star and Pink Heart, but I would love to experiment with the other colors.

Okay, guys, that was the full December Beauty Box from Allure x Anastasia Beverly Hills! This has been one of my favorite boxes so far. The box costs $15 per month and this month's box had a value of $99.62! What do you think about this collab?

My thoughts after a full year of boxes...

I started my beauty box journey with the Sephora Play! box. It's one that's just samples for $10/month. I liked being able to try lots of new makeup, skincare, and hair products, but I felt like I was wasting my money. I completed a year and moved on.

This month marks 1 full year of Allure Beauty Boxes. While there are some samples included, there are usually 2-3 full-sized products in each box. What I like most is that a lot of the products are luxury products that I might otherwise not pick up in a store and that makes this $15/month box feel like a steal. I would like to continue unboxing these for you every month, but is it time to move on?

Let me know in the comments if you're still interested in seeing these unboxings or if I should move on to another box.

FYI, You can see my past year of Allure Beauty Box unboxings here.
