Hey, guys! I'm back with an unboxing of the BoxyCharm for March 2020! It's been a little crazy lately and I hope everyone who is reading this post is doing well and staying safe. My husband is sick but my daughter and I are okay right now. We're all self-quarantining, so posting may be a little bit off-schedule here as it's hard getting supplies for new recipe and DIY posts but I'll continue to post about anything that comes to my door. πŸ™‚

I just got my BoxyCharm for this month, so let's unbox it! I'll tell you a little about BoxyCharm, what could be in your March box, what I got in mine, plus I've got SPOILERS for the April box and coupon codes so you can grab some free stuff, too!

About BoxyCharm

If you haven't heard of BoxyCharm, they send out 5 full-size beauty items ranging from makeup and skincare, to beauty tools and color cosmetics, and each box has a minimum value of $125. Sometimes the value is much, much more.

It costs $25/month and has free shipping in the contiguous US. You can also subscribe for 3 months, 6 months, or a year and get a bigger discount for a longer subscription, so you could pay for a year upfront ($275) and end up getting it for $22.92 per box.

So first, let's take a look at every product that could be in the March boxes. I wanted to show you this so that you can see what I could have gotten and how much taking the quizzes influences what comes in your box. The last 2 months were amazing, but this month...well, you'll see.

Now, let's see what I got!

BoxyCharm March 2020 Unboxing

The box usually includes a foam padding and card on top that tells you the month's theme and about the items that are in the box, but I didn't get either in this month's box. I checked the site and March's box theme is "Edgy", apparently.

First out is the choice product, a Sutra Mini Ceramic Curling Iron in Lavander (the misspelling is not mine!)($50).

  • 19MM | 0.75" Barrel
  • Compact Design
  • Tourmaline Ceramic Barrels With Cool Tip
  • Professional Salon Quality
  • Fast Heat Up & Recovery
  • Max Temperature 190°C | 370°F
  • 1.8m Swivel Cord
  • Ergonomic Grip Handle
  • Dual Voltage 110-240V Worldwide Use
  • Safe For All Hair Types

The choices this month were not great for me as I already have so much skincare that it is officially a "stash" and I already have a great curling iron that is good for travel, too. I was thinking about giving this to my daughter but I'm a little worried she's too young (12) for a curling iron? What do you guys think?

Next out is the Farmacy Very Cherry Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm ($34).

"A pink, cherry-scented limited-edition version of our Green Clean cleansing balm! This nourishing makeup remover + cleansing balm gently melts away stubborn makeup and impurities caused by pollution, without stripping skin. Cleanse effortlessly and indulge your senses with this balm-to-oil formula that smells like summer!"

I'm actually really excited about this one. I've never tried a makeup removing balm and I'm been dying to. This smells amazing, like cherry/almond and it comes with a little spatula.

Next out is the Vintage by Jessica Liebeskind Sparkling Lipgloss in Pink Sequin ($25).

"Give lips a beautiful glittery glow with Jessica’s SPARKLING LIPGLOSS. This sheer, reflective formula provides luminous shine and sophisticated shimmer in an easy-to-use wand with brush applicator. SPARKLING LIPGLOSS can be worn alone, over your favorite lipstick or with a lip pencil for a perfectly polished pout. Ultra nourishing, this gloss delivers soft color in mistake-proof shades that look great on every skin tone."

Um...it's pretty? It's just not my thing. I actually had lipglosses rated in my profile as one of the last lip products I wanted with a liquid lipstick being first, so I don't know how I got this instead of that Nars liquid lip?

Next out is *sigh* a pair of Chella Slanted Tip Tweezers ($20).

"To create your ideal brow look, remove any unwanted hairs with this perfect-grip tweezer."

In the category of beauty tools in my profile, I specified that I don't want any tweezers or eyelash curlers. So, naturally, I got tweezers. πŸ˜’

I was starting to think that BoxyCharm was a little psychic, but now I'm wondering if they even look at the profiles to put together boxes.

Last out of the box is the Hank & Henry Living In Color Palette ($27).

"Are you ready to start #LivingInColor!?!? Introducing our 1st palette. Visually inspired by the late 90's and early 2000's myspace realness. When thinking of the 90's I always think about single wash shadows. Each one of these eyeshadows can be worn by itself and blended out for the artist on-the-go. This palette also introduces a new long-wear formula called FyngrFoyls.  This formula is so 90's since its best when applied with the fingers, as the heat in your finger activates the double binder for an all-day hold. "

So, this palette has some very pretty colors in it, although a lot of them just aren't me. I have all of these colors in other palettes so I really don't want to dig into it to do swatches if someone else could use it. It looks like a mix of the Violet Voss Pro Essentials palette and the Tarte High Tide & Good Vibes palette.

So, this box was a mixed bag and I'm a bit disappointed that there was only 1 item that was a hit for me. The value was lower than last month, but it was still very high for a $25 box. I'm hoping next month will be better!

The value of the BoxyCharm box I received was $156.
