Hi, y'all! I'm back with an unboxing of the IndieStitch Box, a monthly apparel sewing subscription, for July 2026. This month, we'll be sewing up a super cute PJ set that I know I'll be wearing all summer long! I'll show you everything that came in this month's box + I have the current promotion and a spoiler for the August pattern. Let's unbox it!
About IndieStitch
IndieStitch is a monthly subscription box for home sewists that provides you with everything you need to complete a beginner-friendly clothing project and learn some new techniques!
Sit back, sew, and savor the joy of making. We handle the sourcing so you can focus on the stitching. Expertly curated women’s clothing projects, premium fabrics, and community support—all in one box.
That’s what makes IndieStitch so special. When you open up your box, you’ll have exactly what you need to get back to sewing for you.
Subscription Options
The subscription is month-to-month, $86 per box. Once subscribed, you will get the option to pre-pay for 6 additional months for $430. That will bring the per-box price down to $71.67, so it's a great way to get a discount! If you don't see the offer pop up, check for the upgrade option in your account.
There is also an IndieStitch shop where you can buy some of the past project boxes, fabrics, and sewing notions.
If you'd like to see some past boxes, check out all of my IndieStitch unboxings here.
Monthly Free Gift!
If you complete the current month's project and post it to the IndieStitch Community Sew Along Facebook group before the end of the month, you will earn a free gift in your next box! Following along and seeing everyone's projects is a great part of the box experience, and getting a little gift in your next box is so sweet!
July 2026 Pattern
The piece we're making this month is are the Skye Summer Pajama Set from Sonia Estep Designs.

- 3.5" Inseam

How stinkin' cute is this PJ set?! I'll be making the cami, adding a shelf bra inside (shortening the lining to just under my bust, if necessary & adding waistband elastic around the bottom lining hem), and making the curved-hem shorts.

IndieStitch July 2026 Unboxing
Inside the box, the card on top lists all of the information you need for the month's project, including a code to download the instructions + a digital version of the pattern for free (you will get the printed pattern in your box).
It also gives you this month's Community Sew Along dates and a QR code that takes you directly to the Indiestitch Hub for the month's video tutorial and resources. The other side of the card details the items in the box and gives you a spoiler for next month's pattern.
First out is the fabric. I chose the Oatmeal Stripe Rayon Spandex.
I was really loving the black and cream striped sample that was on the pattern reveal graphic, so I was stoked to see a fabric choice that was so similar! This rayon spandex is soft and stretchy and will make the perfect set of breathable summer PJs.
Next are the notions to help us make our pattern this month: a length of waistband elastic, a spool of coordinating Mettler thread, and two ball-point needles for knits in the correct size for the fabric weight. We also got a cute Indiestitch sticker.
We received a 'Machine Needles' Sewing Reference card for this month. I didn't get one last month, and someone must have seen that in the post, so they also included last month's 'Fiber Types' card in this month's box (thank you!) These cards are a mini sewing lesson and a great add-on to the boxes!
Next out is our printed pattern, the Skye Summer Pajama Set from Sonia Estep Designs. It's printed on a thicker paper than the usual tissue pattern paper, making it more durable to reuse for years to come.
Next is our 1st extra item, a 5-in-1 Sliding Hem Gauge Tool. "This handy 5-in-1 sliding gauge makes measuring and marking quick and easy. Use it for hems, seam allowances, buttonholes, spacing, and even circles — a small tool you'll reach for again and again."
Next is our 2nd extra item, a pair of Snips. A pair of snips is so handy! I have one on my cutting table, one by my machine, one stashed in my miniatures crafting supplies, and now one at my desk for packages. :)
Last out is our 3rd extra item, a Needle Sorting Pincushion. "Keep your sewing needles organized with a Needle Sorting Pillow! Perfect for sorting different needle types, keeping them easy to find, and preventing mix-ups while you sew. A simple little sewing tool that helps keep your workspace tidy and your needles within reach."

That was the IndieStitch July 2026 box. We got the fabric, notions, & pattern for a super-cute pair of Cami + Shorts PJs to keep you cool on hot summer nights. We also got some cool extras this month; That machine needle pincushion is perfect for changing good needles. I have so many barely-used machine needles rolling around in a pin dish because I was sure I would remember which kind they were before I set them aside.
SPOILERS AHEAD!
So far, we know that the August sewing pattern will be the Zara Square Neck Blouse from Ellie & Mac!
This versatile blouse features a timeless square neckline, flattering shaping, and plenty of options to make it your own. Choose from sleeveless or multiple sleeve lengths, plus high-hip or hip lengths to suit your style. It's a fun project that creates a polished top you'll wear season after season!
This would be cute in white or ivory double gauze with embroidery as a peasant-style blouse or lengthened into a mini dress, in a small-floral print as a prairie-style blouse, or make it into a resort set with matching sleeveless top and wide-leg pants like one of their website samples shows.
