Share Your Photos with Family Anywhere! {Nixplay Smart Frame Review + Discount!}

Tuesday, March 17, 2020

I received a frame from Nixplay in order to facilitate an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Hey, guys! I have another fun review for you today with a discount for Mother's Day and a giveaway, too! It's for the Nixplay Smart Photo Frame. Digital photo frames have been around for a while now but they're generally a pain to use. This one uploads your photos straight from your phone via the app and you can share your photos to another Nixplay Smart Photo Frame anywhere, even in another country! It makes breaking those photos off of your phone and sharing them super easy and I have all of the details below. [GIVEAWAY CLOSED]

It's not biting her! This baby Lemur started suckling on my daughter's finger at the County Fair. He was the cutest!

We have family members all over the country and they all want pics of the kids. Some family I can text photos to or share them over Facebook, but some older family members still want those prints!

They want to be able to frame them to place in their homes and I don't blame them. I was looking through the thousands of photos I have stored on my computer and I thought it was such a shame that they never see the light of day.

I thought about buying a "smart frame" but all of the ones I've seen use a memory card that needs to be updated every time you want to add new photos. Meh.

Nixplay emailed me about trying out one of their frames and at first, I wasn't too excited. I get constant emails from companies who want me to test their products and I rarely take them up on it. A product has to be very cool for me to be interested and after reading about this one I was definitely interested.

The biggest pro about this frame is that updating photos is super-easy. You use the app to choose photos to display from your phone's camera roll and they are uploaded via wifi.

Also, you can privately and securely share photos with your friends and family members through the app and they'll display on their Nixplay frame anywhere! How cool is that?! The easy setup means that you can ship a frame to grandma and grandpa, they can hook it up to their wifi, open the app, and stream photos straight from you! 💝

Nixplay sent me the 10.1" Smart Photo Frame with WiFi to check out.

Opening the frame, I saw this and thought it was pretty cool. For every Nixplay photo frame purchased, they plant a tree!

The frame comes well-packaged with everything you'll need in the box. It has 2 sensors on the front: one for the remote and one is a motion sensor. You can set the frame to display all of the time, during certain hours of the day, or when it senses motion. It will put itself to sleep!

It can display a clock with your photos, captions, notifications, syncing...there are so many ways to make this the perfect frame for you.

In the box:
  • Nixplay Smart Photo Frame
  • Wall adaptor with US plug
  • Infrared Remote
  • Wall Mounting Screws
  • Wall Mount Guide
  • Quick Start Guide

The stand on the back of the frame can be used to display the frame in a Vertical or Horizontal format (just bend the flexible bar around) or removed for wall-mounting.

If wall-mounting, it also comes with a wall-mounting guide you can tape to the wall and use to drill your holes. It also comes with anchors and screws.

Next, download the app. You can get it from the App Store for Apple devices or Google Play for Android devices. Create an account and you're ready to pair the app with your frame.

Turn your frame on and it will walk you through connecting to your wifi and it will automatically start downloading any software updates that it needs.

Once you've connected the app to the frame, choose photos from your camera roll. The frame has an 8GB capacity and you can create multiple Playlists with up to 100 photos or videos each. When you're done, it will automatically start transferring photos to your frame.

Use the included remote to choose your playlist and your photos start showing on the frame. You can also use the remote to scroll through photos as you wish or play with the many settings, and when you're done, it's magnetic, so you can attach it to the back of the frame when not in use.

You can use the settings to choose the volume, brightness, display time for each photo, whether you want them to fill the frame or show with bars to keep the original formatting, add transitions between photos, and so much more. You can really go in and play with the settings to make this the perfect way to display photos in your home.
