We Tried Out the Ororo Heated Fleece Jacket {+ a Giveaway!}

Ororo's mission is to empower everyone to challenge the climate with functional yet fashionable apparel. They make all kinds of heated items, from Parkas to vests, gloves to socks, all designed to keep you warm in any kind of weather. The best part? They won't break the bank. All of their products are high quality at an affordable price.
When Ororo contacted me to try one of their products, I was intrigued but my son was straight-up excited. He rides a motorcycle and this was his first winter on it. He has winter gear for riding but still freezes on his bike, especially in the early mornings. He is also an avid outdoorsman that loves to camp and hike, so this company was already on his radar for outdoor gear.
He chose to review the Heated Fleece Jacket to fit under the riding jacket that he wears for protection. It goes from Small to 3XL, so there's a nice range of sizes for everyone.

With a polyester fleece lining and improved carbon fiber heating system, this jacket provides unmatched comfort and protection against the elements without restricting movement or sacrificing breathability."
FYI, the jacket has a 3-year warranty. I love that they will guarantee it for such a long time when most companies will only cover their products for a year, if at all. The jacket is also machine washable, which blows my mind.
The material is very good quality and feels thick and warm. You can adjust the heat with 3 settings: High, medium, & low. The button to operate the jacket is on the breast, which is handy.
My son noticed that it featured YKK zippers immediately. I didn't know this but they are famously a quality zipper for outdoor gear.
The battery is a 7.4V UL/CE certified Lithium-Ion Battery and even has a USB-A port to charge your cell phone in a pinch.
It also comes with a charger + UK & EU adapters for travel. I think this is such a nice touch!
The jacket has a classic fit. It's made with an ultra-soft and breathable fleece material. There is an elastic hem to seal in the heat without restricting your range of motion.
It has 3 carbon fiber heating elements to generate heat across core body areas (left & right chest, mid-back). It heats up in seconds and stays powered for up to 10 hours on a full charge. Remove the battery pack and it's machine washable!
The jacket has an inner zippered pocket for the battery pack. It's directly over the side seam on the left side. As someone who sews, I appreciate this little detail. That means that the weight of the battery isn't going to pull down and distort the material over time or look like you've got rocks in your pocket!
Just charge the battery fully, plug it in, and zip it into the pocket. Press the button on the chest once for high heat, twice for medium heat, and three times for low heat.
It was easy to understand and operate. They really made it as simple as possible to use.
The fit was good and the sizing was perfect. If you're looking to order one, just choose your regular size; No need to size up or down. I can't overstate the quality; From the materials to the electronic elements, it was really well made with thoughtful details.
Gabe says: "It felt thick and insulating and the inside was very soft. It looks nice on, fits well, and the neck is high to help protect you from the wind. It's plenty warm and the different heat levels are nice. The battery pocket is out of the way so you don’t really notice it while wearing the jacket. It has YKK zippers that zip up smoothly and won't rust. It will keep me nice and warm on my bike this spring and under a coat next winter. Great jacket, Ororo!"
