Hey, guys! I'm here with an unboxing of Boxycharm for December 2020. With the shipping delays from the holiday season, I'm just now getting it, so.... I'll tell you a little about Boxycharm, all of the products that could be in the #BoxyGlitz box, what I got in mine, plus I've got SPOILERS for the January box and a coupon code so you can get some free products, too!

About Boxycharm

If you haven't heard of Boxycharm, they send out 5 full-size beauty items ranging from makeup and skincare to beauty tools and color cosmetics, and each box has a minimum value of $125. Sometimes the value is much, much more.

It costs $25 a month and has free shipping in the contiguous US. You can also subscribe for 3 months, 6 months, or a year and get a bigger discount for a longer subscription, so you could pay for a year upfront ($275) and end up getting it for $22.92 per box.

You can see all of my previous BoxyCharm unboxings here.

December Box Products

First, let's take a look at every product that could be in the December boxes. I wanted to show you this so that you can see what everyone could possibly get. Some are repeats from past boxes but you'll never receive the same product twice.

You take some pretty in-depth quizzes when you start and that should influence what comes in your boxes. FYI, if you're a member they've changed the quizzes a bit and there's a new Hair Quiz, so make sure to go in and re-take them!

My first 2 months (January & February) were amazing but they went downhill fast when the pandemic hit. Last 2 months they came back strong. This month? We'll see.

So, let's unbox December!

Boxycharm December 2020 Unboxing

The box includes a card on top telling you about the items in your box and their values, and the December box theme is Bubbles & Glitz.

First out is the Choice item. I chose the OFRA Pressed Banana Powder ($35).

"Peel this way with our all-in-one Pressed Banana Powder. This innovative matte powder, which is lightly banana-scented, is versatile and can be used to:
-Conceal dark under-eye circles
-Set concealer
-Highlight the under-eye area, the brow bone, the bridge of the nose, the middle of the forehead, and the chin
-Set foundation
-Matte eyeshadow"

Honestly, the choice for December didn't blow me away. I've never used a banana powder, but it was the best choice for me. Maybe I can use it as a light setting powder? It smells amazing and if it's from OFRA, I know it will be good quality.

Next out is the Eloise Beauty Get Lit Metallic Foiled Liquid Eyeshadow in Pure Gold ($26).

"Enrich your lids and Get Lit with Eloise's luxurious, long-wearing, metallic foiled liquid eye shadows. They are the perfect blend of metallic and slight glitter reflects, that embellish your eyes with a seamless lustre and sparkle. Create or transform any look, from subtle to intense with these full coverage liquid eye shadows that will leave you hooked."

The color is called "pure gold" but it looks more like a copper, which I'm not mad about. It's pretty!

Next out is the Tarte Maneater Mascara in Black ($23).

"Dress your lashes like you style your hair with this lengthening, curling, and volumizing mascara. With a soft-flex brush and lightweight triple-black formula, it lifts lashes at the root, styles, and fans them out to create amped-up fluttery fullness with no flaking or clumping. The custom-molded brush features hundreds of flexible bristles to curl and coat lashes with even, intense pigment powered by lash-strengthening jojoba and carnauba wax."

I love Tarte and I haven't tried this mascara yet. I'm going to have to go change my preferences to "I don't want mascaras", BRB. Seriously, it's getting crazy!

Next out is the MAC Matte Lipstick in Russian Red ($19).

"M·A·C Lipstick – the iconic product that made M·A·C famous. This creamy rich formula features high colour payoff in a no-shine matte finish."

I was actually really, really excited to see this in my box! I love a matte lip and Russian Red is an iconic MAC color. It's an intense bluish-red and I've been meaning to try it out for years. Yay!

Last out is the Artist Couture Caliente Palette ($30).

"Turn up the heat and get ready to feel the summer fantasy. This palette features five buttery mattes, two richly pigmented metallics, and one multidimensional high-pearl shade. These colors have been carefully curated to design wearable, vibrant, and colorful looks."

I was really disappointed to see this in my box. First off, my profile is set to "neutral" eyeshadows and this palette is anything but. There were other palettes in the mix that would be considered more neutral.

It is very pretty, but just not for me. Some of the colors look wearable but I'd hate to dig into it when I know there are a few (looking at you, neons) that I won't touch. I'd rather find a new home for it.

This is also billed as a "Hot & Spicy Summer Eye Palette", but it's in a winter box. *Ahem* No, Boxycharm. Just no.

So, I feel like I got another box that was not tailored to my profile/didn't take into account that I was just sent some of the same products.

They killed it for, like, 4 months out of 12, but that's not a great record. I'm really not sure if I should renew after this year. I feel like I spent a lot of money on a lot of products I'll never use. The painful thing is that I got a lot of products this year that I told them in my profile that I didn't want at all.

What do you think? Do you want to keep seeing these boxes?

The value of the BoxyCharm box I received was $133.

This isn't a sponsored review post so I don't have a customized discount code for you but I do have the most recent BoxyCharm free gift coupon codes!

SPOILERS AHEAD!

So far we know that January's box will include a choice of:

Hmmm. There are a lot of choice items this month but quite a few of them are repeats from past boxes.

I then did some more digging and saw that we might get:
