AIA Beauty Bundle Box May 2022 {New Unboxing!}

Friday, May 27, 2022

I received a box from AIA Beauty Bundle in order to facilitate an unboxing. All opinions are my own. This post may contain some affiliate links.

Hi, guys! Today I've got a new-to-me unboxing for you: the AIA Beauty Bundle for May 2022. The AIA Beauty Bundle is a monthly subscription box that focuses on a new beauty category every month, like makeup, skincare, or haircare, and you'll get 5-6 full-sized products from a new cult-favorite brand in each box.

May's box is focused on skincare and the featured brand is Purlisse (one of my top 10 fave skincare brands!) Keep reading to find out what was inside and how to get your May AIA Beauty Bundle. Let's unbox it!

About AIA Beauty Bundle

The AIA Beauty Bundle was born of the American Influencer Association Awards and is a monthly subscription box that comes with 5 to 6 full-sized products that focus on a new beauty category every month. Past boxes have featured great brands like Herbivore, Glow Recipe, Farmacy, MAC, Colourpop, Nudestix, Keys Soulcare, & Jason Wu. Nice!

(Ahem! If AIA has any old Glow Recipe, Jason Wu, Herbivore, Nudestix, of Farmacy boxes just laying around, feel free to send them my way. 😉 😜)

Each box is available until 11:59pm PST on the last day of the month to receive that month’s bundle. If you subscribe after that, you'll receive the next month's bundle.

You can subscribe month-to-month for $38 per month, 3-months for $111 (that comes to $37/month), 6-months for $216 ($36/month), or a full year for $418 ($34.84/month). The longer plans give you a nice savings on the price of the box.

Each box is guaranteed to have a $100+ value, you can cancel any time, and they currently ship to the US & Canada!

If you follow @aiabeautybundle on Instagram, they do spoiler hints and have fun giveaways every month, so I knew this month's brand was Purlisse, who I love. You guys know how into skincare I am and how many skincare brands I've tried, so being in my top 10 skincare brands is a big deal. They're up there with Glow Recipe, Kate Sommerville, Dr. Brandt, and Murad for effectiveness.

The box comes with a card on top that tells you all about each product in detail along with the values of the products. I like that they're so transparent! You know exactly what you're getting.

"Treat yourself by awakening your skin with this super smooth Silky Body Butter for all skin types! This full body spa treatment smoothes, hydrates, nourishes & deeply moisturizes while the Turmeric helps reduce inflammation. The fruit extracts also promote elasticity, clarity & skin suppleness to keep your skin looking and feeling better."

I couldn't resist trying this out while I was taking the photos. It smells absolutely tropical and lovely. It spreads well (some body butters can be too thick) and soaks in pretty quickly. My hands felt hydrated and protected. This will be fabulous for summer!

"Reveal brightened and supple skin after one wash! Our Pineapple Bright Cleansing Gel gently removes makeup and impurities without stripping skin of it's natural oils. Enriched with Pineapple which is loaded with Vitamin C, Lemon, Camu Camu and Aloe Vera, this not only purifies pores and improves skin texture, it also works beneath the surface to fight free radicals, reduce skin damage and inflammation, and improve signs of premature aging. Bonus: It smells so good, you'll be looking forward to this part of your skincare routine!"

This one also smells delicious! (One of the reasons I love this brand is that they use natural ingredients like pineapple or pumpkin enzymes that are highly effective without a lot of nasty chemicals.)

I have actually been working on finding a good product for fading discoloration from old sun damage so I'm excited to try this line out. I do the experiments so you don't have to! Also, wear your sunscreen, kiddos!

"Renew and refresh your skin with our Matcha Green Tea + Lemon Detoxifying Charcoal Mask. Packed with Green Tea, Lemon, White Clay and White Tea, this mask will pull out impurities more than a cleanser could, leaving your skin brightened, purified, smooth and silky soft. Use this mask before moisturizing and makeup for a smooth, supple canvas that easily absorbs nourishing properties. Apply this 2-3 times a week for optimal results."

This masks sounds perfect for me. I have combo/dry, aging skin but still get the occasional clogged pores around my nose. I love charcoal and clay for that and this mask has both. I just got a 6-pack of their Matcha Green Tea Sheet Masks that I wanted to try out to help with hyperpigmentation and I'll bet double masking with both of these will help knock out my (skincare) problems. Stoked!

"Brighten and rejuvenate dull looking skin with our Pineapple Bright Brightening Gel Cream! This lightweight, oil-free gel cream is enriched with active ingredients like Pineapple, Vitamin C, Camu Camu and Aloe Vera, to calm inflammation, deliver intense moisture, visibly improve signs of aging and purify pores. Use this daily as a part of your morning and nightly routine for a healthy, supple and soft complexion. Bonus: It smells so good, you'll be looking forward to this part of your skincare routine!"

Ooh, I love when we get "matching" products in a sub box. It really helps when you're building a skincare routine to use multiple products from the same line. This moisturizer will compliment the cleanser and double the results you're looking for; In my case, brightening hyperpigmentation and keeping dead skin buildup at bay.

Next out is a Purlisse Scented Antiseptic Hand Sanitizer Mist Trio in Watermelon Lemon, Green Tea Ginger, & Papaya Turmeric ($18).

"This multi-tasking hand sanitizer kills 99.9% of germs while soothing your skin. Infused with nourishing tea tree oil, lemon essential oil and aloe vera, it leaves your skin cleansed, fresh and lightly fragranced with fruit extract oils. Tip: Keep this 1.7 ounce bottle for on-the-go cleansing and stock up with our Scented Antiseptic Hand Sanitizer Mist Refill."

I currently have a hand sanitizer spray inside my purse and a hand sanitizer gel hanging from it. With kids I've found that the spray is much less wasteful and more effective than the drippy handfuls of the gels. You also don't have to wait as long for your hands to dry.

I'm excited to pop these in my purse for the summer. They smell delicious and they pump out a very fine mist (see the above pic), which is crucial for full coverage. Love it and we got THREE of these fruity + fresh hand sanitizer sprays!

That was the AIA Beauty Bundle for May 2022 and it was fabulous! We got a great range of skincare products from Purlisse, including a huge tube of body butter and 3 hand sanitizer sprays (bringing the product count to 7, technically). This box had a value of $119!

I'm really excited to try everything out! I. am. going. to. smell. scrumptious.

What I find I'm liking most about this box is the complete focus on a new beauty category each month. So, with each box you'll get a full skincare routine, full line of haircare products, or an updated makeup look for $38 or less (depending on how long you subscribed) each month. It's a fantastic value!

If you would like to get your hands on this AIA Beauty Bundle x Purlisse Box, you can get it until May 31st at 11:59pm PST (that's 1:59am Central) at aiabeautybundle.com!
