5 Tips to Stay Healthy This Holiday Season {+ Enter to Win 1 of 60 Walmart Gift Cards!}

This post was sponsored by Nature Made® as a part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central.

As we're rolling into the holiday season, starting with Halloween (yay!), it's time to make sure you're taking the best care of yourself. The shopping, decorating, events, and parties can all take a toll, especially over the span of the next few months. If you're not careful you'll end up feeling it big time, but it doesn't have to be that way. I have 5 great tips to stay healthy this holiday season, so keep reading for those and then enter to win 1 of 60 Walmart Gift Cards from Nature Made!

1. Get Plenty of Sleep

You may be tempted to stay up late getting ready for the holidays, but this is how people become stressed! Getting less sleep and overworking yourself not only makes you stressed, but can also lead to illness. Make sleep a priority this holiday season and every other day of your life.

2. Exercise Regularly

You may think that you're too busy to exercise this holiday season. Skipping your exercise routine can lead to increased stress too! If you don't have time for your regular routine, look for other ways to fit in exercise. For example, park far away from the mall when shopping or walk on the treadmill while watching holiday specials. As an added bonus, exercising releases feel-good endorphins that will help you be at your best!

3. Drink Plenty of Water

I know you hear this one over and over, but it really is important to stay hydrated. First of all, if you choose to drink alcohol this holiday season, drinking plenty of water before and during can help prevent dehydration. You should strive for 8 glasses a day. If you're really active, you will, of course, need more. Besides being dangerous, being dehydrated can make you feel tired, lightheaded, and headachy. Nip it in the bud before it brings you down!

4. De-Stress

Stress leads to illness, that's why it is so, so important to get your stress under control. There are so many easy things you can do! Take some time for yourself each night to take a hot bath, color in an adult coloring book, read a book, or just drink a hot cup of tea or cocoa. Whatever helps you de-stress is a good thing, and will keep you feeling good while helping you deal with the extra work during the holidays.

5. Take a Supplement

I always take a multivitamin, but in times of stress, I add in a supplement like B12 to support cellular energy production and help me feel my best. I recently discovered the Nature Made VitaMelts when I went into Walmart to grab my regular Nature Made multivitamins (Nature Made is the #1 Pharmacist Recommended brand for many key dietary supplement categories.*).

They have Multivitamins in VitaMelts, but also some of your favorite supplements are now in VitaMelts. These don't require a glass of water to swallow, so if you have trouble swallowing pills, these will be perfect for you.

Walmart is my go-to for Nature Made. They have the lowest prices anywhere, so there's no need to wait for a sale to stock up on your supplements! You can find them in the Vitamin and Supplement aisle near the Pharmacy.
