If you've been reading the blog for a while you know that we've been doing Family Game Nights since the kids were small. I think it's a great way to make the whole family feel connected by having fun together. Sometimes it's just playing some games after dinner, a lot of times there are snacks, but occasionally I'll get the urge to make it into a wonderfilled night. Keep reading for some tips and tricks to pull together a family game night to remember.

Family Game Nights can be a great way to stay involved in the kids' lives while having fun, too. If you don't already have a collection of board games, a great way to start it is to take everyone with you to the store and let each family member pick out a game of their own.

It doesn't have to be expensive. Classic games like Checkers, Dominoes, Sorry, and Parcheesi, or even a pack of playing cards are all fairly inexpensive choices.

As for food, I love to combine Game Night with dinner, which can make the whole night easier. One way to do that is to serve dinner picnic-style with sandwiches and sides. You can make dinner quickly and with a minimum of prep by picking it up in the Deli section of the grocery store. You could also opt for ordering a pizza.

I thought I would cute-up our sandwiches by serving them as a checkerboard. I grabbed a few sandwich spreads from the deli and some Pumpernickel and Oatmeal breads.

I also grabbed some deli potato salad, chips, and pickle spears to round out our "picnic."

All that I had to do was make a few sandwiches and cut them into squares. Arrange them on a tray in a checkerboard pattern and dinner is done.

For dessert? Pure awesome.

If you're not aware yet, OREO has officially become the best cookie ever. Maybe not officially, but you know what I mean.

What other cookie comes in so many drool-worthy flavors? They're always coming out with amazing new limited-edition flavors, but every once in a while they release favorites from the OREO Wonder Vault, too.

The latest releases include Red Velvet, Birthday Cake, Salted Caramel, and my personal favorite, Cinnamon Bun.

Right now there is an awesome BOGO offer! Buy one Wonder Vault flavor OREO and get a free MILKA OREO Chocolate Candy Bar at Kroger grocers! Offer valid from 6/14 until 6/20.

If you haven't seen these yet, they're crunchy bits of OREO + crème filling + rich MILKA chocolate. MILKA is one of Europe’s leading chocolate brands, made with milk from the European Alps and the finest cocoa beans.

Grab a little treat for them, then get one for yourself, too. :)

I found my OREO sandwich cookies at my local Kroger. Find your local Kroger/Kroger Family of Stores to get your OREO sandwich cookies here.

Keep an eye out for the OREO Wonder Vault and MILKA OREO Chocolate Candy Bar store demonstration live at participating Kroger grocers between 6/15 and 6/18.

The demos will present Kroger-exclusive recipes, information on the newest OREO flavors, Limited Edition varieties, the new MILKA OREO Chocolate Candy Bar, fun facts about the history of OREO and Kroger, and much, much more. Check it out and get inside access to the Kroger OREO Wonder Vault!

And then throw your own "Wonderfilled" Family Game Night! I hope you have a blast!
