Southern Mom Loves: My Mommy Must-Haves, Still

My Mommy Must-Haves, Still

Tuesday, February 6, 2018

I have been compensated by AVEENO and JOHNSON'S® Baby for this post; however, I am sharing my own thoughts. All opinions are my own.

My daughter is 10 now. As she's grown, our bedtime routine has changed a bit. Instead of me reading to her, she likes to read stories to me, but she still likes a bubbly bath and cozy jammies and far-off adventures before bed. When asked what my mommy must-haves were when my daughter was a baby, I had to admit that a few of those products are must-haves still. Some because of their calming scent and some because, while she's not a baby anymore, she's still too young for some products made for adults.

Our first must-have is JOHNSON’S® BEDTIME® baby bath. This is something I stocked up on big-time when she was a baby. It really worked to help get her to sleep, and even though I tried other brands when I couldn't get this one, they just didn't work as well. We always looked for this big, purple bottle and the scent is amazing! I have to admit I use it occasionally, too. :)

My other mommy must-have, still, is AVEENO® Baby Eczema Therapy Nighttime Balm. She's still too young to use adult Eczema medicines, but she doesn't need to.

At the first sign of an Eczema breakout (usually in her inner elbows and forearms) I apply it every night before bed. It's steroid-free and also fragrance-free so I don't have to worry about any further irritation. It's a thick ointment-like balm, so it really stays in place to protect and heal.

I love that I can grab everything at a super-low price on my regular Walmart shopping trips. You can find all of these products in the Baby aisle of the Health & Beauty section (In my Walmart it's in the shaving/deodorant aisle.)

As a bonus, JOHNSON & JOHNSON® will donate $1 with every qualifying product purchase to the Save the Children Federation, Inc. to support Hurricane relief efforts in the U.S. and Caribbean. <3 <3 <3 Check out this page to see if any of your mommy must-haves are on the list!

Having one child who is almost an adult now, I know how quickly these moments can pass away. As long as she still wants her bedtime routine, I'll be right there to cuddle up with her.
