Hey guys! I'm back with my just-in Sephora Play Box for August. This one came with a Back to School theme and lots of goodies inside from OUAI, Benefit, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Make Up For Ever, Origins, and Living Proof. I have a first peek for you along with my thoughts on the products inside.

I got photos as I opened this up to show you just how the box looks when opened. Everything comes inside the themed drawstring bag so that it's truly a surprise as you pull out one goody after the next.

Each box comes with a fold-out sheet that has a cute themed graphic on one side and a description of all of the products and how to use them on the back. It also comes with a Play! Pass that can be redeemed inside a Sephora store for an extra 50 Beauty Insider points with any purchase.

The Beauty Insider points can be saved up to use on deluxe-sized samples and kits or free makeovers or classes.

This month's theme is Back to School, so the drawstring bag has cute school graphics.

The first product that I pulled out was this Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel in Clear. This was one of the products that is a grab bag. Before you get your box, you get a hint email telling you that you may get one of (usually) 3 products. This one was last on my wishlist, but I'm actually glad I got it.

You guys have seen my brows. They're not lush caterpillars that need taming, but more like 4 nervous hairs holding hands. I've never tried a brow gel because I didn't think it was necessary for me, but after trying this one I think it's now a must-have.

One of my brow problems is that they're not symmetrical. One arches much more than the other and with this gel, I was able to form them into a more symmetrical shape and they stayed there all. day. long. Nice.

*le sigh* Another shampoo and conditioner sample. This one is the OUAI VOLUME Shampoo and Conditioner. I got a sample of their frizz-taming sheet in another box and liked it (good for flyaways, but not frizz) so I decided to give this one a try. At least they included a conditioner with it, and hey, I could always use more volume.

Result: Volume-tastic, but not for me. My biggest concern is frizz. Not baby frizz, but real, wiry frizz. If you want a volumizing shampoo, I would give it a try, though.

This is the 2nd Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick that I've received, so I knew that I would like it. This one is in the shade C211, which was hard to photograph, but is a dusky, dark rose color.

Pretty, but it seems like every lip product they've sent lately is in this same kind of universally flattering color. I'd like to see them get bolder and send a shade that will make me go out of my comfort zone.

Gorgeous, smooth, creamy, opaque color, but not long-lasting. It was pretty much gone after a cup of coffee, but if you want that crazy-deep color payoff, it's a good lipstick.

Next up was the Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay. I've used a few Origins masks because masks are my jam and I loved them but I was a little confused about this one. Rose Clay? There was no rose scent so I'm guessing that just refers to the color. Retexturizing? A clay mask? Hokay. Then I tried it.

It is actually a clay scrub mask! Yayyyyyyyy! I recently started using a clay body scrub and went over the moon for it. This is like that but in a mask for the face.

It is made of Mediterranean rose clay (which I had never heard of) and smells kind of herbal-mint-y. It also has Canadian willow herb and scrubbing Jojoba granules inside. You apply it like a mask and leave it on for a bit to get the benefits of the clay. It kind of tingled for me. Then apply water to your hands and massage it in when you're ready to take it off.

LOVE IT!!! Will buy the full-sized when this is gone for sure.

They included this Living Proof T.B.D. Multi-Tasking Styler. It can be used to smooth or define hair while wet or dry. I gave it a go the day after using the volumizing shampoo on dry hair to try and tame my frizz.

It's like a mix of a leave-in conditioner and a styling gel. I've tried one other that felt very similar, and like it, it didn't really work that well for my crazy frizz after it's already dry; That would require a miracle. It would be better for me applied to wet hair, but also, it smells AMAZING. I was sniffing my hair all day. It was worth it for the smell alone.

Last in the box was the Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Matte Bronzer. I love it when I get something in a super-cute package!

It came in a small, plastic compact that would be great to slip into a purse, but I was worried that it was going to be too dark or too pigmented for me.

I gave it the ultimate test: bronzing bare skin with no foundation or powder to help it blend. It performed waaayyy better than I thought it would; Perfectly in fact! It blended in well and looked very natural. I didn't get any dark streaks and the color was subtle but buildable. I think this would be a perfect bronzer for a beachy vacation; When I don't want to bother with makeup, but don't want to look like a ghost, either. :)
