Simply Earth Essential Oil Recipe Box {March 2019} Unboxing + a Magnesium Sleep Spray DIY!

I received an Essential Oil Recipe Box from Simply Earth in order to facilitate a post. All opinions are my own. This post contains affiliate links.

Hello, lovely people! I may be dead sick right now but I'm so excited to show you the Simply Earth Essential Oil Recipe Box for March. It was incredibly timely for me since it had a sickness support recipe inside in addition to some other wellness recipes. I couldn't wait to get started on a few! I'll show you everything that came in this month's box + give you a recipe for a Magnesium Sleep Spray DIY to help send you off to dreamland naturally. Of course, I also have a code for you, too. :)

This month, my box came inside of a Bonus Box! I actually wasn't expecting to get another one so soon. I received one with my first box in December to give me all of the extra supplies I'd need to get started. I was told that they come every 6 months to resupply you with the basics, so maybe I was just off-schedule when I started. That's okay; It's great to have extra ingredients on hand!

It comes with extra amber bottles for your mixtures and amber roll-on bottles, too. Amber is the color of glass you need to keep your essential oils viable so every storage container you get from Simply Earth will be exactly what you need for essential oils and recipes. You get six 5ml bottles with dropper inserts and six roll-on bottles.

It also comes with a zippered bag of beeswax pellets, a jar of solid coconut oil, a bottle of fractionated coconut oil, and a bottle of almond oil.

These are the main ingredients most essential oil recipes will call for, so they make sure you have them on hand. Love it!

As always, opening one of Simply Earth's Essential Oil Recipe Boxes is a real treat because they put so much thought into each box. They even send you a sheet of stickers so you can label the tops of your new essential oil bottles to make them easier to organize and grab, plus stickers to label your creations for the month.

It always comes with 6 recipes that you can follow using the included oils, specialty ingredients, and containers. This month's recipes are:

  1. Magnesium Whipped Body Butter
  2. Anxiety Away Inhaler
  3. Mood-Lifting Diffuser Blend
  4. Digest Roll-On
  5. Magnesium Sleep Spray
  6. Sickness Support Bath Soak

This month's oils are:

You've already received way more in essential oils ($48.96) than the entire box costs!

This month's box also comes with an aluminum spray bottle for the sleep spray...

and an inhaler for the Anxiety Away recipe.

The box also comes with Magnesium flakes and Dried Lavender Flowers for this month's recipes.

Altogether the box is a great value and comes with not only a lot of useful products but recipes and education information on the back of the recipe cards as well. Their website is also a great resource if you want to find EO recipes or find out what a certain essential oil is good for.

Magnesium Sleep Spray DIY
Source: Simply Earth

Magnesium is involved in hundreds of biochemical reactions in your body. It has been shown to help fight depression, lower blood pressure, help prevent migraines, has anti-inflammatory benefits, and alleviates muscle cramps among other things. A lot of people are slightly deficient, so it's a great ingredient in a sleep spray because it can be absorbed via the skin.

Some of the symptoms of severe magnesium deficiency are fatigue, muscle cramps, mental problems, irregular heartbeat, and osteoporosis. If you believe you may have a magnesium deficiency, see your doctor for a simple blood test.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tablespoon Magnesium Flakes
  • 1/2 cup boiling distilled water (bottled)
  • 1 Tablespoon Fractionated Coconut Oil
  • 6 drops Blood Orange essential oil
  • 4 drops Amyris essential oil
  • a small spray bottle

Directions:

1. Boil the bottled (distilled) water. You can do this on the stove in a pot, or in the microwave on high for 2-3 minutes.

2. While it's coming to a boil, you can go ahead and combine the coconut oil with the 2 essential oils in a small container or directly in your spray bottle.

3. Once the water has boiled, measure out 1/2 cup and mix in the Magnesium flakes until they're dissolved.

4. Combine the magnesium water with the oil mixture in your spray bottle, cap, and shake well.

To Use: Shake well and spray 2-5 sprays on your sheets before heading to bed.

I keep this spray on my nightstand and spray my sheets every night before bed!

This month's oils alone are worth almost $50 and you can get the monthly Essential Oil Recipe Box for $39/month. Use my code SOUTHERNMOMGIFTFREE here: http://bit.ly/SimplyEarthEOBox to get the Big Bonus Box + a free $20 gift card to Simply Earth for some extra oils or ingredients to play with!
