Hey, guys! I'm back with an unboxing of BoxyCharm for May 2020! I just got my BoxyCharm for this month, so let's unbox it! I'll tell you a little about BoxyCharm, all of the products that could be in your May box, what I got in mine, plus I've got SPOILERS for the June box and coupon codes so you can grab some free stuff, too!

About BoxyCharm

If you haven't heard of BoxyCharm, they send out 5 full-size beauty items ranging from makeup and skincare to beauty tools and color cosmetics, and each box has a minimum value of $125. Sometimes the value is much, much more.

It costs $25 a month and has free shipping in the contiguous US. You can also subscribe for 3 months, 6 months, or a year and get a bigger discount for a longer subscription, so you could pay for a year upfront ($275) and end up getting it for $22.92 per box. You can see all of my previous BoxyCharm unboxings here.

So first, let's take a look at every product that could be in the May boxes. I wanted to show you this so that you can see what everyone could possibly get. There are a lot more products than there usually are but a lot of them are repeats from past boxes.

You take some pretty in-depth quizzes when you start and that should influence what comes in your boxes. My first 2 months were amazing but the last couple of months were a little off, to say the least. I don't know if the box packing is being affected by the pandemic, so I'm giving them a break. *sigh*

Now, let's see what I got in my box!

BoxyCharm May 2020 Unboxing

The box includes a card on top listing the items in your box and their values, and May's box theme is Mother Nature.

First out is the Choice item (that I missed the date to choose) but they sent me one of the two I was hoping for. Yay! It's the GlamGlow BerryGlow Probiotic Recovery Face Mask ($49).

"A creamy, nutrient-dense soothing mask with antioxidant-rich berries and probiotics that instantly boosts skin’s health, restores radiance and balances skin’s biome."

This mask looks like a yogurt smoothie and smells delicious! I have a similar mask (the Elemis Superfood Vital Veggie Mask) and I like it. GlamGlow makes some of the best masks so I'm excited to get this one.

Next out is a Hank & Henry #SlickWithIt Liquid Eyeliner in Blickety Black ($17).

"Our...eyeliners have a matte/satin finish with a formula that glides on perfect. This formula is also transfer-resistant for a long-wear hold."

Hmmm. I was really hoping I would get the Eye-Lie-Ner from Haus Laboratories so I'm a little disappointed. I missed out on all of the KVD eyeliners in the last box (my favorite of all-time is the Tattoo Liner) so I wouldn't have minded one of those either. I'm very particular about my liquid liners and I've never tried their so I'm not sure how I feel about this one.

Next out is a Pretty Vulgar Uncaged Eyeshadow Primer ($22).

"Mineral-rich clay is the miracle ingredient in this effective primer. For use before applying eyeshadow, the lightweight product absorbs excess oil in the skin, resulting in an ultra-smooth canvas ideal for makeup application. Whether you use a powder or cream eyeshadow, you'll maximize its staying powder with just one coat of this subtle primer."

This is another miss for me just because I don't use an eyeshadow primer. I feel like it's a product I'll never need since I use either foundation or a little concealer on my eyelids and it does the trick. 🤷‍♀️

Next out is a Tarte Micellar Magic Makeup Remover & Cleanser ($18) and I got real excited.

"The ultimate lazy girl hack – this micellar water is a gentle, no-rinse facial cleanser that removes waterproof & long-wear makeup, excess oil & impurities without stripping your skin’s natural moisture."

I'm a huge Tarte fan and was actually just looking at this on their site. I've never tried a Micellar Water so I've been wanting to and I love that this one has a no-waste pump on the top.

Weirdly, this bottle of water (lol) was one of my favorite items that came in this box and kept it from being a total waste in my eyes. You'll see why in a minute...

Last out is the Violet Voss Essentials Palette ($29).

"The Essentials Palette is a refreshing new take on essential shades. It includes 10 full-size pans of warm and cool tones in breathtaking matte and metallic finishes. Achieve endless day-to-night looks with this compact palette that is the perfect size for travel."

Gorgeous, right? I absolutely love this palette. Do you know how I know it's good? Because I currently have THREE of them.

That's right. I got one and used it and loved it. I actually used it on Christmas day and my eye look was beautiful! The colors are pretty, the formula is great; It's an awesome palette. Then I got another...and I listed it for sale in my Poshmark closet. Now I have a third and it's starting to feel like a curse. Out of all of the palettes that I could have gotten in this month's box...

So, this box was okay for me. It could be amazing for someone else, but personally, I feel like it was another month where they didn't really match the products that went into the box with my profile.

It also feels like they were short on new products to include so they brought back a lot of past products they already had in stock. That's not necessarily a bad thing as there were a lot of past products I would have loved to receive. I just didn't get those. 😂😭🤣

The value of the BoxyCharm box I received was $135.

This isn't a sponsored review post so I don't have a customized discount code for you but I do have the most recent BoxyCharm free gift coupon codes!

SPOILERS AHEAD!

I didn't miss Choice Day this time! Yay!!! So far we know that June's box will include a choice of:

There are usually only 3 choices but they threw in the two Benefit primers from a previous box. I then did some more digging and saw that we might get:

Touch In Sol Fill Up Orange Eyeshadow Palette ($32) OR...

Shared Planet Polar Bear Eyeshadow Palette ($48) OR...

Shared Planet Tiger Eyeshadow Palette ($48)

There were some rumors that these two products were seen in a video so they might be in the next box or a future box:

Smashbox Photo Finish Setting Spray Weightless ($32)

Purlisse Perfect Glow BB Cream SPF 30 ($35)

That's pretty exciting! I've got my fingers crossed for one of those gorgeous Shared Planet palettes!!! You can sign up for BoxyCharm here.
