Hi, guys, I'm here with the Allure Beauty Box unboxing for August 2020. This month's box was filled with products from Pixi, Erno Laszlo, Whish, Floss, Sulwhasoo, H2o+, & Looks & Meii, including 2 full-size products (but really 4...). I'll walk you through it + I've got discount codes for some of the brands included & FULL SPOILERS for September's box. Let's unbox it!

If you're new to these unboxings, Allure Beauty Box is a monthly beauty product subscription box that has a mix of makeup, skincare, haircare, and (sometimes) perfume and nail products. You get 5+ product picks from the editors with at least 2 full-size products a month with a value of $70+. It costs $15 a month and the shipping is free. You can see all of my past Allure unboxings here.

Allure Beauty Box - August 2020

When you open it, there's a little magazine right on top telling you all about the products inside and every month there are exclusive discount codes included in the booklet for some of the box products.

First out of the box is a full-size Pixi Skintreats Rose Blend Nourishing Face Oil ($24).

"This botanical blend is infused with a powerful complex of youth-preserving oils to help improve skin's elasticity and glow. Sweet Almond, Rosehip, Jojoba, Pomegranate Seed, and Rose Geranium oils nourish the complexion. Leaves skin comforted and smooth to the touch. Suitable for all skin types, Paraben-free, Not tested on animals."

I actually have a bottle of this and I enjoy using it. It smells like roses and leaves my skin feeling nourished. I might just put this in my stash for when I run out of the other bottle.

Next out is a full-sized Floss Brighten Up Highlighter in Sunlit ($20).

"A no-brush-needed highlighter formulated to give you a healthy glow no matter the weather. This silky-smooth formula melts into the skin and blends seamlessly for an effortless and natural dewy look."

This highlighter color is so pretty! It's a kind of champagne gold and would look good on any complexion. I've got so many highlighters, y'all. 😬

Next out is a travel-size of the Erno Laszlo Sea Mud Deep Cleansing Bar ($23).

"Our iconic Laszlo-original cleansing bar boasts the uniquely therapeutic benefits of Dead Sea mud, a mineral-rich miracle of nature, to deeply cleanse, exfoliate and hydrate skin."

Since you can buy the travel-sized bar on their site, this is technically a 3rd full-sized product.

I have loved all of the Erno Laszlo products I've tried (the White Marble Dual Phase Vitamin C Peel, the Pore Refining Detox Double Cleanse, the Antioxidant Complex For Eyes, & the Multi-Task Eye Serum Mask). I've heard good things about their cleansing soaps so I'm excited to try this one out!

Next out is a deluxe sample of the Whish Botanical Primer (2 oz. is $44 so this .75 oz. sample is worth approx. $16.13).

"Suffering from dry skin and huge pores left from drying makeup? This natural botanical primer not only minimizes pores and evens skin tone, but it also leaves skin feeling moisturized and dewy looking. You will be left looking radiant, moisturized, and ready for the day ahead."

The older I get, the drier my skin gets. I'll give this one a try!

Next out is a sample of the H20+ Hydration Sensitive Gel Cream Moisturizer (1.7 oz. is $42 so this .34 oz. sample is worth approx. $8.40).

"A unique pink gel cream that glides on easily to help reduce redness and increase hydration. Featuring a skin-quenching, velvety formula paired with powerful clean ingredients like Hyssop and Eyebright Extracts to soothe and soften sensitive skin."

My skin has been increasingly dry lately so I'll be trying this one, too.

Next out is a sample of the Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum (2.2 oz. is $84 so this .27 oz. sample is worth approx. $11.20).

"Formulated with JAUM Balancing Complex, a potent cocktail of five Korean herbs, this unique prepping serum designed to be the first step post-cleanse that hydrates, nourishes and visibly firms, while boosting absorption of subsequent products that are applied on top."

I've heard of this brand and it's pretty pricey. I've wanted to try something from them so I'll definitely give this one a go.

Last out is a Looks & Meii Brightening Lift Up Perfect Fit Mask ($3).

"The brilliant layering system gives the skin a brighter tone and the Vita 3 Complex of this brightening mask provides the skin with clear, shining moisture.
• Moist milky essence provides radiance and moisture to dry and dull skin to make  skin brighther and hydrated.
• Adjusts and fits to the face with smooth texture  and elasticity which give healthy skin and natural glow. "

Since you can buy just one mask, this is technically a 4th full-sized product!

I've never tried anything from Looks & Meii but I dig their mod aesthetic. This mask is supposed to be a stretchy, better fitting sheet mask, so I look forward to trying it out. Y'all know I love a good mask! 🙌

So that was the full August Beauty Box from Allure. The box costs $15 per month and it had a value of approx. $105.73!

This one had a total of 7 products, and really, 4 of them were full-sized. We're still heavy on skincare this month but I'm not too mad about it. I was really happy to get that Erno Laszlo bar, the Pixi Rose Oil, and the Looks & Meii mask, but I do miss getting more makeup in these boxes. It seems like every beauty box is sending out highlighter lately and I'm over it. 🤷‍♀️

What do you think about this month's box?

SPOILERS AHEAD! Allure Beauty Box September 2020 items:

I feel like we were supposed to get that Cleo Noir eyeliner in a previous box this year but it didn't happen. I couldn't find anything on the brand either, but now they have a website so I guess it was a new brand launch that got put back because of the pandemic.

I'm excited about getting the Wander mascara. I have their lengthening mascara and I like it but I really need one for volume and curl more. There are some really good skincare brands in this one and more sheet masks are always a YAY for me. This is going to be a good box!

The New Member Gift right now is:

The Mally Evercolor Shadow Stick ($25). We received this quite some time ago and it's a gorgeous bronzey color.

BUT!!!! The September Spoiler image has some fine print at the bottom:

I think that means that if you wait and sign up in September then you'll get the Anastasia Beverly Hills Moonchild Glow Kit ($40).

The Mega Beauty Bundle gift, free with a 1-year subscription, is still available but it changed a bit to be 17 items with a $264 value, so that means there are fewer products than I unboxed, but they'll have a higher value! If you didn't catch my unboxing video of the mega gift bundle, you can find that here.

I hope you enjoyed this month's unboxing! You can get the Allure Beauty Box here.
