October 2025 Pattern
The piece we're making this month is the Sunset Lounge Pants from Sinclair Patterns.
Fitted at the hips and loose through the leg, mid-rise lounge pants in full or below-the-knee length. Offered in a regular version with a yoga or ruched waistband or in a maternity version with a low-rise waistline and a contoured ruched waistband (up to 35 weeks).
This is a versatile pattern that can become so many styles depending on your fabric choice, such as pajama pants, lounging pants, workout pants, casual pants, and many others. Very easy and quick to sew; A perfect project for beginners.
October 2025 Fabric Choices
We have 6 fabrics to choose from this month:
- Black Rib Knit 2x2 (92% Polyester, 8% Spandex)
- Dusty Peach 1x1 Rib Knit (97% Polyester, 3% Spandex)
- Moss 2x2 Rib Knit (92% Polyester, 8% Spandex)
- Heather Gray Rayon Spandex (95% Rayon, 5% Spandex)
- Dark Blue Rayon Spandex (95% Rayon, 5% Spandex)
- Black Stretchy Knit (97% Polyester, 3% Spandex)
IndieStitch October 2025 Unboxing
Inside the box, the card on top gives you all of the information you need for the month's project, including a code to download the instructions + a digital version of the pattern for free (you will get the printed pattern in your box).
The card also gives you the month's Facebook Sew Along dates and a QR code that takes you directly to the Indiestitch sewing hub for video tutorials. The flip side details all of the items in this month's box and gives you a spoiler for next month's pattern.
First out is the fabric. I chose the Dark Blue Rayon Spandex.
This is such a beautiful blue! It's like a dark royal blue and the rayon gives it a lovely silky-softness and a slinky drape.
Next out are the notions to help us make our pattern this month: a spool of matching Gütermann thread and two ball-point needles for knits in the correct size for the fabric weight.
Next out is our printed pattern, the Sunset Lounge Pants from Sinclair Patterns. It's printed on thick, durable paper.
Next out is our 1st extra item, a set of 6 Hemming Clips. This is another one of those great sewing notions that I didn't even know existed! They can hold up a fold of heavy material without pin distortions or delicate ones that will show pin marks and they're marked with measurements up to 3" so you know you're taking up the exact hem that's needed all around. Very cool!
Last out is our 2nd extra item, an Enamel Sewing Machine Pin! So cute! I love getting sewing mementos like this. This one is very pretty!

That was the IndieStitch October 2025 box. We got the fabric, notions, & pattern for a pair of silky soft and drapey lounge pants that I have a feeling I'll be wearing on repeat until it's just too dang cold. Another great box!
SPOILERS AHEAD!
So far, we know that the November pattern will be the Willow Wrap Dress from Love Notions Sewing Patterns!
The Willow Wrap Dress is functional, flattering, and comfortable made with knit fabrics. The crossover neckline can be made lower to make access easier for those nursing mamas. The side ruching can be made with gathers or pleats and the knee length, full a-line skirt is so flattering on all figures! The dress can also be made without the ruching for a smooth finish. Both styles can be done with a peplum skirt instead of a full length skirt. An optional flounce can be added to the neckline to dress it up. Bonus- the Willow Wrap Dress also has a maternity option!
