Hi, y'all! I'm back with an unboxing of the IndieStitch Box for February 2026. This month, we'll be sewing up a beginner-friendly structured blouse or dress for the warmer months ahead! I'll show you everything that came in this month's box + I have an exclusive $40 off discount code and a spoiler for the March pattern! Let's unbox it!

That’s what makes IndieStitch so special. When you open up your box, you’ll have exactly what you need to get back to sewing for you.

Subscription Options

There are options to subscribe monthly or for 6 months at a time. The boxes are $86 each on the monthly plan, but the cost per box goes down to $70.58 if you pre-pay for 6 months. That's a savings of almost $16 per box!!!

Monthly Free Gift!

If you complete the current month's project and post it to the IndieStitch Community Sew Along Facebook group before the end of the month, you will earn a free gift in your next box! Following along and seeing everyone's projects in the group is a great part of the box experience, and getting a little gift in your next box is so sweet.

February 2026 Pattern

The piece we're making this month is the About Town Popover Shirt & Dress from Pattern Emporium.

The About Town Popover is multiple patterns in one — a shirt, a shirt dress, and two front styles with a simple collar and three clever sleeves. It’s all about sewing something fresh & modern with no fuss. Add the wide hem, (optional) pockets and those effortlessly cool (optional) epaulettes for a look that feels both easy and elevated.

And the best thing… no buttons!!

I'll be making the dress with cap sleeves and pockets, but I think I'll be either lowering the pockets to the skirt area or cutting a second set of slightly larger pockets for the skirt; That just makes more sense for me. It's going to be so cute in the fabric that I chose!

February 2026 Fabric Choices

We have 8 fabrics to choose from this month!

  1. Kelly Green Bubble Check (97% Polyester, 3% Spandex)
  2. Soft Pink Viscose Linen (15% Linen, 85% Rayon)
  3. Black Bubble Check (97% Polyester, 3% Spandex)
  4. Warm Taupe Woven (55% Rayon, 45% Nylon)
  5. Marsala Woven (55% Rayon, 45% Nylon)
  6. Blue Floral Rayon (100% Rayon)
  7. Mint Viscose Linen  (15% Linen, 85% Rayon)
  8. Navy Banker Stripe (65% Polyester, 35% Cotton)

Inside the box, the card on top lists all of the information you need for the month's project, including a code to download the instructions + a digital version of the pattern for free (you will get the printed pattern in your box).

It also gives you this month's Community Sew Along dates and a QR code that takes you directly to the Indiestitch Hub for the month's video tutorial and resources. The other side details the items in the box and gives you a spoiler for next month's pattern.

First out is the fabric. I chose the Navy Banker Stripe.

This is a crisp fabric that will be perfect for the Popover Dress. It has tiny navy stripes and you can turn them for a cute pocket detail. It's a great weight for a warm summer day or you can throw a cardigan over it for chilly spring days.

Next are the notions to help us make our pattern this month: a spool of matching Gütermann thread, two ball-point needles for knits in the correct size for the fabric weight, and a length of interfacing.

We also got an Interfacing Guide card that lists all of the reasons and methods for interfacing on the back. I absolutely love this idea and would love to see a Sewing Reference card in each box. It's a mini sewing lesson and a great add on to the value of boxes.

Next is our printed pattern, the About Town Popover Shirt & Dress from Pattern Emporium. It's printed on thick copyshop paper, making it more durable to use and reuse for years to come.

Next is our 1st extra item, a Point Turner! "This handy little tool helps you get clean corners and smooth seams with less fuss. Use the pointed end to turn collars, cuffs, and waistbands, and the flat side to press without distorting your fabric. Small tool, big difference."

Next is our 2nd extra item, a Pressing Cloth. "Protect your fabrics while still getting that crisp finish! This breathable mesh lets steam through but shields delicates and knits from heat damage. Say goodbye to shine marks and hello to smoother seams."

Last out is our 3rd extra item, a travel-sized Hand Lotion. Working with your hands all the time can leave them looking rough. What a nice little self-care treat!
