The Samsung Galaxy S8 is a Traveler's Dream

If you travel at all, you know some of the pitfalls that can come with that: Getting lost, not understanding the language, running out of photo storage, and kids that need to be entertained on top of that. Our phones have become a must-have for photos, maps, and entertainment, but what if it could do even more? I recently got the chance to upgrade to the new Samsung Galaxy S8 and it has some of the most amazing features for the traveler (and even daily life) that will amaze you!
There's also an S8+, which is even more expansive, and if you're worried about security, worry no more. Defense-grade security keeps your personal information locked down. You can set your phone up to unlock with iris scanning, face recognition, fingerprint, PIN, or password.
You can also choose your color! They offer the GS8 and GS8+ in Midnight Black, Orchid Grey, or Arctic Silver.
Have you ever dropped your phone in a puddle (yes), an ocean (yes), or a large cup of coffee (double yes) and had to replace it at your own expense because it was "water damaged"? Well, this baby is water resistant! With an IP68 water resistant rating, it can resist a splash or accidental dunk.
It's also capable of fast wireless charging. I tend to forget to charge my phone sometimes and waiting for it to charge when I need to be somewhere is such a pain. With the wireless charger, you can charge in a flash without having to plug in (the wireless charger is sold separately.)
The GS8 also has expandable storage! You don't have to shell out hundreds more for more storage, just buy and insert a Micro SD Card to expand your storage up to 256GB!
It comes with all of the most useful apps preloaded and you can get all of your extras in a flash. This thing is fast!!!
Now (my favorite part), let's meet Bixby, your amazing personal assistant. You access Bixby in a flash with its own button to check your schedule, ask a question, or give it a command. The coolest part: It learns. The more you use it, the better an assistant it becomes. It learns from your routine to serve up just the right info, apps, content, and reminders at just the right time.
Bixby also has a Health app that's an activity tracker, so there's no need to buy an extra device to pair with your phone. The GS8 can record your steps, calories burned, and measure your heart rate, stress level, and oxygen saturation with a special sensor built right into the phone near the back camera! Not only that, it has an running coach. LOVE!
Bixby is built into your camera, too. Just touch the eye icon to identify landmarks, translate foreign language text, or shop for the perfect summer dress you saw someone wearing! Squeeeeeee!!!!!
The expandable storage means that I can load my phone with all of my favorite music; Something I couldn't do previously. I can make road trip playlists with kid-friendly picks to keep us all rocking!
The GS8's camera is the best yet. It takes amazing, clear photos, even in very low light, and it now has an enhanced front-facing camera so you can take better, clearer selfies, so no matter how many people are in the shot, they'll all be in focus!
Kudos again to the expandable storage. It comes in very handy when traveling and taking hundreds of photos. You don't have to pick and choose; Shoot everything!
Now, if you have kids, you know what a pain it is for them to be trapped in a car for long periods of time. You can download all of their favorite games (even the big ones) and the time will fly for them.
