Southern Mom Loves: The Easiest Way to Add Smart Nutrition into Your Meals

The Easiest Way to Add Smart Nutrition into Your Meals

This post was sponsored by Eat Smart as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.

Adding nutrition in the form of delicious veggies to every meal is important, but it can also be time-consuming. It's no secret that I love a good shortcut and sometimes, I'm too darn tired to wash, dry, chop, dice, shred, steam, sautee, or roast anything else, so this is actually a method I've used for a while now. When you want to eat smart, but don't have the time....

....grab a kit.

Can you believe this gorgeous salad came from a kit?!

These are not your usual kits filled with soggy iceberg lettuce and a smattering of more nutritious ingredients in the form of a few shreds of carrot and purple cabbage.

These are the freshest, most delicious salad kits I've ever tried and come complete with toppings and dressing. I've been buying them for at least a year now because my husband and kids absolutely love them and they come in some amazing varieties, but this one is my personal favorite.

This is the chef-inspired Sweet Kale Salad Kit and it's so good that even people who say they don't like Kale (like my son) will eat it right up with no complaints.

It's all in one bag, and mixing up one bag will take care of your side dish for at least 4 people. If I feel like having a large salad for lunch or dinner, I mix two bags and they can also be topped with a protein like grilled chicken, sliced steak, or shrimp.

It's packed with 7 different superfoods to make sure you're getting the maximum in good nutrition: Kale, green cabbage, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, chicory, roasted pumpkin seeds and dried cranberries and also comes with a creamy, sweet poppyseed dressing.

They're the easiest side you could possibly pull out of the fridge:
  1. Pour the greens into a bowl.
  2. Add the toppings.
  3. Add the dressing.
  4. Toss and allow to marinate for around 10 minutes. Done.

There are a ton of "convenience" foods on the market that may be convenient, but are definitely not good for you, that's why it's so important to choose well.

This is their most popular salad kit and it has a 100% Clean Label. That means no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives and Eat Smart is the first brand within its category to commit to clean ingredients and labeling.  All of their products will have a “100% Clean Label” by the end of 2018.

That's why I have no reservations about serving this to my family. There are enough preservatives and artificial colors/flavors in everyday foods that I shouldn't have to worry if they're in our vegetables, too.

They're the perfect way to add convenient and healthy, not to mention delicious, nutrition into our everyday meals.

I don't think anyone is "too busy" to add veggies that are this quick and easy into their diets.

They are now available in Walmart stores nationwide, so you can find the Eat Smart Sweet Kale Salad Kit there on your regular shopping trips, right in the Produce section with the packaged salads. Check out the price, too! You don't have to pay an arm and a leg to eat well.

While this one is my favorite, my husband loves their Asian Sesame kit. I've also had the Strawberry Harvest and the Southwest and they're all delicious. I can't wait to try their new Salad Shake Ups!
