The Perfect End of Summer Treat: Fruity Sorbet Floats!
Thursday, August 10, 2017I've had this idea in my head for quite a while and finally on one, hot day decided I had to make them. I'm so glad I did, because they were perfect for an end-of-summer treat for the fam. Cold, creamy, fruity sorbet is made into a float with the addition of grapefruit soda! It's a delicious combination and the pretty colors were a nice surprise, too.
They make the perfect accompaniment to this dessert.
These can be made with sorbet, like I've done here, or a sherbet or gelato would taste just as good. The only difference is that sorbets are made with sugar and fruit while sherbet and gelato contain milk for a creamier product.
I'm using grapefruit soda but you can use any clear citrus soda that you like.
