How I Keep on Top of Germ Season

It's November and germ season has officially arrived. I'm big into prevention, but just as important as prevention is being prepared to deal with illnesses when they happen. My motto: Being prepared is not just for Boy Scouts. I'll show you just how to keep on top of germ season, especially if you're the one who's down with the sniffles.
There are few things more awful than having to drive yourself to the store feeling miserable and looking like you may have the plague, to peruse the medicine aisle, groggily trying to find something that will make you feel better while trying not to spread your germs around.
My stock-up choices start with the almost-impossible task of prevention. It is possible, but it takes diligence.
Next, I prepare. I have always used plastic locking shoe boxes to store medicines hidden in the top of my bedroom closet. It's a bit out of the way, but out of reach is a good thing in a house with kids, and these containers will seal everything up nice and neat until you need it.
The containers themselves are super-cheap and you can find them in some stores for around a dollar each. Label the contents of each shoebox with a permanent marker or you can get fancy with pretty labels!
I have one for adult medicines, which we're focusing on today, but I also keep one for children' medicines and another for my sinus stuff. Yes, I need a whole shoebox for my sinus meds and gadgets alone, smh. Neti pot, anyone?
Now let's stock it!
Breathe Right Extra Clear strips are great for instant nasal congestion relief that's drug-free and opens your nose up to 38% more than decongestant sprays alone. They're the only nasal strip that uses 3M adhesive, so you know it won't pop off in your sleep, but the clear strips are easier to remove, which can be beneficial for people with dry or sensitive skin.
They simply help increase airflow so you can breathe better, even when your sinus passages are inflamed and that will help you sleep better and feel better the next day.
Simply stock up, pack your tote (it's always good to include a thermometer!), and put it away for the inevitable. Germ season is here, so be ready to fight.
You can find everything in this post at your local Kroger or Kroger Banner store. Medicines are always in front of the pharmacy, Dial is in the hand soap aisle, and Kleenex is in the paper goods aisle. You can find more inspiring content here and get some stock-up savings here!
