Cranberry Ginger Fizz Holiday Cocktail

The winter holiday season is one of my favorite times of the year. Family and friends gathering and sharing good food and holiday cheer are some of my happiest memories, so I love to give others happy holiday memories as well. I've created this delicious Cranberry Ginger Fizz Cocktail that you can serve at your holiday festivities and it will help to support a good cause at the same time. :)
This cocktail is a holiday treat and includes some of my favorite holiday flavors in a fizzy, refreshing drink.
It starts with a bit of muddled mint. It will give your cocktail a barely-there hint of refreshing flavor at the end. Then spiced rum and cranberry juice are poured over ice and topped with the star of the Cranberry Ginger Fizz Cocktail, Canada Dry Ginger Ale.
I grabbed all of the ingredients for this cocktail and the garnishes (but not the spiced rum) at Walmart for under $15. That's enough to mix up these cocktails all party long!
As a bonus this holiday season, every time you buy a specially-wrapped Dr. Pepper Snapple Group product at Walmart, they'll make a donation to the Salvation Army! So look for those 2-liters and ‘ugly sweater’ mini can 6-packs of 7Up, Squirt, and Canada Dry to help make a difference with each purchase.
Once you've purchased your ingredients, let's set up a holiday cocktail bar!
You'll want the mixing instructions for this signature drink on the table so that everyone can help themselves. You can write it on a small chalkboard or whiteboard or print it out and put it in a picture frame. However you want to display it, make sure that everyone knows how to mix this gorgeous drink up.
You want to prep a few things ahead of time. First, take the long stems off of your mint leaves and place them in a small bowl or dish.
You also want to pre-load your swizzle sticks or toothpicks with fresh cranberries.
You can put them in a small glass or dish on the table and your pre-drink prep work is done.
You want to leave your ingredients on the table along with something to muddle the mint and a 1- or 2-ounce shot glass to measure out the rum and cranberry juice.
Don't forget the ice! You can fill a large bowl with ice if you don't have an ice bucket and make sure to leave out a glass for each guest.
You can round out your table decor with fun barware, a bowlful of your leftover fresh cranberries, and some holiday-themed greenery, twigs, or pretty ornaments.
Then, mix up this fabulous cocktail!

They're so easy to make and are perfect for any holiday gathering.
If this drink doesn't help you to spread some holiday cheer, I don't know what will!
Look for specially marked packages at Walmart because with every purchase there will be a donation to the Salvation Army and that can help spread holiday cheer far beyond your own circle of family and friends. :)
