Hi, guys! Something you may not have realized about me is that I'm a bit shy. Yes, I share stories, but not a lot about what goes on in my life from day to day. I try to share all of the positive that goes on, but let's get real, that's not what life is always like.

I've been challenged to share more, so if you're interested in finding out what my life is like, I'll be trying my hardest to do a weekly wrap-up post to share what I've been doing, trying, reading, learning, or not, every Sunday. Today is weekly wrap-up #1 so let's get to it!

The first thing that I want to talk about is my health. You may have noticed me mention that I've been sick quite a lot and I've had such sweet comments about getting well that I want to let everyone know that I'm finally not sick after a month and a half!

It started with a sinus infection and an ear infection in both ears that developed into an upper respiratory infection that then developed into pneumonia. Still sick after three rounds of antibiotics, I figured I just had to let it run its course. I am so glad that's over!

One thing I haven't really talked about is that I've been in a lot of pain since last June. Not always fun to discuss. My neck and shoulders had been killing me and I had trouble turning my head. Several doctors visits and 2 months of physical therapy later, they finally decided to do an MRI and found a bulging disc in my neck and pinched nerves to my shoulder.

Welp, I just had steroid injections for that this week (they couldn't do it while I was sick), so hopefully I'll be pain-free and able to do more physically soon! Cross your fingers for me because if this doesn't work, it's more doctor visits. :(

It makes me a bit cringe-y to talk about the bad stuff that's happening, but that's life sometimes! Are you going through good, bad, or ugly right now?

I got my Sephora Play box this week and it was fabulous. In case you haven't heard about it, Sephora had a subscription service for around $10 a month and they send you a curated box of fun samples to try out. My first box was in January and it was mostly skincare, which I didn't really need, plus a blush sample I wasn't crazy about, and a shampoo/conditioner that was meh. I was thinking about canceling but wanted to give it another month. I'm so glad I did because this month's box was full of awesome.

It came with a Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, which I adored, 2 lip products: Make Up Forever Artist Rouge Lipstick and Sephora Collection Ultra Shine Lip Gel, equally fabulous, a sample of the Philosophy Amazing Grace perfume, which was nice and clean, a Hello FAB Ginger & Turmeric Vitamin C Jelly Mask from First Aid Beauty, which I liked a lot, and a Peter Thomas Roth Peeling Gel that was a must-buy in full size.

This stuff is amazing! Just a pea-sized amount will roll off all of the dead skin on your face in .5 seconds! I always try new products with a grain of salt because usually, they aren't as great as they make themselves out to be. This one exceeded my expectations. LOVE. I've already done my face, neck, hands, feet, and legs. :) Let me know in the comments if you want to see what's in my Sephora Play box each month.

We had a pretty full week with the kids and their friends. My daughter had a weekend sleepover with her bestie, first at our house, then at her friend's. They are so darn cute together! They do sleepovers so often that I'm running out of non-electronics ways to keep them entertained. We ended up doing a Crystal Growing Aquarium kit. What do you like to do for your kids' sleepovers?

My son had a formal on Saturday, so the week was spent getting him ready for that only to have it rescheduled because of inclement weather. He and his girlfriend wanted to do a faux flower corsage and boutonniere so that they could save them as keepsakes. We went to Hobby Lobby because that was the only place I could figure to get them and they were just about sold out. I guess this is a thing with teens now? Actually pretty practical. He decided to make hers himself, which was super-sweet and it ended up looking so much better than the pre-made ones. Anyone else have kids going to formals or proms right now?

I shot a fun Oscar party-themed post this week. If you like watching the Academy Awards, you'll love this post about making it into a party. :) I really hope you guys like the party ideas and the printable Oscar picks game.

Well, that about wraps it up! That wasn't so painful. :) I want you guys to feel free to tell me what's going on with you. I read every comment and I've gotten to know a lot of you in the past 4 years of blogging. I love to hear your stories and look forward to getting to know you better, too.
