I'm here with a sneak peek unboxing of the Simply Earth Essential Oil Recipe Box for March 2020 and the theme for this box is Mood Boost which, not gonna lie, I could use a little of right now. This reed diffuser is so easy to make. It requires the essential oil or oils of your choice, then just 2 additional ingredients (and one of them is water). You can even use bamboo skewers for reeds if you didn't get this month's box. For my jar, I'm reusing a little facial oil bottle. Any small container with a narrow neck, like a bud vase, will work. Anyone can make this!

DIY Reed Diffuser
Source: Simply Earth
Supplies:
- 5 reeds
- a small, narrow-necked jar
- 2 Tbsp. Vodka, witch hazel, or rubbing alcohol
- 2 Tbsp. distilled (bottled) water
- 25 drops Essential Oils
Directions:
1. Add the vodka (I'm using witch hazel) and the essential oils to your jar. I'm using the Cypress and Orange oils from this month's box. You could use any oils that you like, but any of the Mood-boosting blend recipes would be great for this. Swirl for at least 30 seconds (or cover the opening and shake) to mix.
2. Add water to the jar.
3. Place reeds into the jar. Allow them to soak for a few hours, then flip the reeds so the opposite ends are in the jar. Flip the reeds every few days and refresh the mixture every 2 weeks. Use this diffuser to scent a small space like a bathroom or office.
