Summer is the time when people want to get out there, so it makes sense that it's also the time when we get the most visitors. Friends, family, and neighbors all drop by when the weather gets nice and no matter what you have in the fridge, you can feed your last-minute company in style as long as you have a box of TRISCUIT crackers in your pantry. Today I'm making the Avomangsalscuit (avocado+mango+salsa) with creamy avocado slices, juicy, sweet mango slices, and a spicy black bean and corn salsa. It's a winning combination that will make your guests think you planned it. Let's Make ‘Scuit Happen.

I have a long-time love of TRISCUIT crackers. They were my mom's favorite snack and she could come up with something delicious no matter what we had on hand. Cream cheese? Let's drizzle it with Worcestershire sauce. Sour cream and salsa? Let's do it. Avocado and tomato? Yes, please. They were the original #TRISCUITToppers.

So it's no wonder there are a few things I always keep on hand, just in case. One of those is a box of TRISCUIT.

TRISCUIT knows this and has come up with some fun TRISCUIT Topper recipes like the Avomangsalscuit (avocado+mango+salsa) that I'm making today.

They also made the Procheeugulascuit (prosciutto+cheese+arugula), the Orcadomintscuit (orange+avocado+mint), and the Limangojackscuit (lime+mango+jack cheese). Get those recipes and more great TRISCUIT inspiration here.

TRISCUIT starts with just wheat, oil and salt, simple ingredients for a better snack. They're made with 100 percent whole grain, are low in saturated fat and are a good source of dietary fiber. They're thick and delicious and hold up well to whatever you want to top them with, whether it's a slice, a dollop, or a sprinkle.

You can get them in original, reduced fat, cheddar, cracked pepper & olive oil, fire roasted tomato & olive oil, garden herb, deli-style rye, roasted garlic, thin crisps, and rosemary & olive oil. This isn't cheese and cracker time, this is foodie heaven time.

I get my TRISCUIT crackers at my local Kroger. Find your local Kroger/Kroger Family of Stores to get your TRISCUIT crackers in the store locator here.

I'm adding a few ingredients to my Avomangsalscuit, like a burst of lime into the black bean and corn salsa, and topping them with fresh cilantro. YUM.
