Hi, guys, I'm back with the Allure Beauty Box for June. I know, right?! I just did an Allure unboxing! Usually, I receive my box near the end of the month, but I just got this in the mail. Maybe enough people unsubscribed and it bumped me up to the first shipping batch? Maybe it's a fluke? We'll see with next month's box. This month's box contains some interesting items from The BrowGal, MoroccanOil, Eau Thermale Avène, Context, Floss., and SGX NYC + I've got the first 2 spoilers for the July box and it's exciting!!! Let's unbox this baby!

Allure Beauty Box - June 2019

So every month, there are exclusive discount codes included in the booklet for some of the box products, and I always share these just in case someone can use them! This month's codes are:

  • thebrowgal.com: ALLURE19 for 10% off your entire order (6/1/19-8/31/19)
  • aveneusa.com: ALLURE20 for 20% off your entire order (6/1/19-8/31/19)
  • flosscosmetics.com: ALLURE15 for 15% off your entire order (5/25/19-9/30/19)
  • contextskin.com: ALLURE25 for 25% off your entire order (6/1/19-8/1/19)

The cosmetics bag is the same top-flap-in-band style as last month, but this time in neon green. 🙄

There are sometimes extra inserts for discounts or free gifts and this month, there is a one-time code for $20 to Baublebar. The first person to ask for it in the comments, gets it.

There are also codes for some swimwear, workout-wear, underwear, and bedding. If you were going to shop at any of these, save some dough with a code!

  • solidandstriped.com: SUMMERGLOW20 for 20% off until 8/31/19
  • bandier.com: SUMMERGLOW15 for 15% off until 8/31/19
  • negativeunderwear.com: SUMMERLOVE for 15% off your first purchase until 8/31/19
  • brooklinen.com: ALLURE15 for 15% off orders over $50 until 8/31/19

First out of the box is SGX NYC The Do-It-All 3-in-1 Dry Texture Spray in a 1 oz. sample. The 6.5 oz. is $6.99 at Target, so this sample is worth about $2.15.

"Tired hair? Revive flat, 5pm hair with this multi-talented dry texture spray. Designed with dry shampoo to instantly add texture by refreshing and volumizing while hairspray provides brushable hold for that perfectly undone tousled style."

This is a dry shampoo meets hairspray and it seems to be more for a shorter, tousled style, so I don't know if this will work with my super-long hair.

Next out is an Eau Thermale Avène Thermal Spring Water spray, 1.6 oz., $9. They actually sell this size on their site, but you can also get 5 oz. for $14 and 10.1 oz. for $18.50.

This is actually aerosolized water from the Avène Thermal Spring in France.

"A naturally soothing source for sensitive skin since 1743, Avène Thermal Spring Water's unique composition is clinically shown by over 150 studies to calm, soothe and soften the skin. Ideal for red, sensitive or irritated skin and perfect for post-workout, travel, outdoor activities or to freshen up makeup."

Next is the Vitamin C All Day Eye Cream from Context Skin, .5 oz., $35.

"A revitalizing and hydrating lightweight formula contains a powerful combination of preventative botanicals. Keeps eyes protected and nourished with potent antioxidants to protect the delicate area against free radical damage. Leaves skin nourished and refreshed all day."

I've actually never heard of Context Skin but looking at their site, they've been endorsed by both Allure and Vogue.

Next out is an oldie but goodie. MoroccanOil Treatment, .34 oz. sample. The 1.7 oz. is $34 at Sephora, so this sample is worth $6.80.

"...Moroccanoil Treatment can be used as a conditioning, styling and finishing tool. Infused with antioxidant-rich argan oil and shine-boosting vitamins, this completely transformative hair treatment detangles, speeds up drying time and boosts shine—leaving you with nourished, manageable and smooth hair with each use..."

I'm a big fan of hair oils and have received samples of this before and enjoyed it.

Next out is another new-to-me brand. It's a full-sized tube of My New Favorite Lip Gloss by Floss in the shade YUL, $16.

"My New Favourite Gloss is just that. It’s not glittery, not sticky, and not grimy. Instead, we created the holy grail, the gloss you’ll take with you everywhere. It’s hydrating, long-lasting, smooth and most importantly comfortable to wear. Use it alone for a semi-sheer wash of color or over your lip color for added shine. We even took care of the headache of color selection – it’s available in 4 universally flattering shades."

It's just what they described, except it smells like a tropical-scented suntan oil. Not bad--I actually like that scent--it was just unexpected in a lipgloss.

Last out is The BrowGal Eyebrow Pencil in 04 Medium Brown, $23.

"Carefully designed and formulated to emulate the look of real hair, The BrowGal's Eyebrow Pencil always looks natural and doesn't budge. These blendable pencils are made from cedar wood for a harder lead that delivers a more hair-like effect. With a variety of unique custom-blended shades, there's a perfect match for every hair color."

This one comes with a sharpener in the cap and a spoolie on the end. I'm a little miffed because I keep getting cool BrowGal products that I can't use. This color is closer than the last one, I guess! 😂

I'd like to put a little tip in here for the cool-shaded black-haired gals. You know the brow struggle: If you try to match your hair/brows, you'll get crazy solid black caterpillars and if you use a brown, it's always too warm and you get those light-brown halos. I tried a dark grey (almost a charcoal) eyebrow pencil (as in, for ladies with grey hair) and it was perfect. ✊ It edges and fills without being too dark while remaining the right tone!

Okay, guys, that was the full June Beauty Box from Allure. The box costs $15 per month and this month's box had a whopping value of $91.95! What do you think about the products?

I got this one early in the month, so it will still be available if you want to get it.

SPOILERS AHEAD! Allure Beauty Box July 2019 items:

There are only a few spoilers out so far for the July box, but it will be curated by Huda Kattan! I'm actually really excited since I'm a big fan of Huda Beauty!

Huda Beauty Liquid Matte in Alluring, a brand-new orange-red shade that hasn't been released yet! $20.

OUAI Texturizing Hair Spray, 1.4 oz. mini, $12.

I'm also a fan of OUAI and use a few of their hair products already, so I'd be happy to give a new product a try.

TONYMOLY Intense Care Snail Hydrogel Mask, $10
