Hey, guys! I'm back with an unboxing of the BoxyCharm for February 2020! Sorry for bringing you two of these unboxings so close together, but I just got this one so this should be my regular shipping time/unboxing time from now on. I'll tell you a little about BoxyCharm (see my last BoxyCharm post for all of the details), what could be in your February box, what I got in mine, plus I've got SPOILERS for the March box and coupon codes so you can grab some free stuff, too!

About BoxyCharm

If you haven't heard of BoxyCharm, they send out 5 full-size beauty items ranging from makeup and skincare, to beauty tools and color cosmetics, and each box has a minimum value of $125. Sometimes the value is much, much more.

It costs $25/month and has free shipping in the contiguous US. You can also subscribe for 3 months, 6 months, or a year and get a bigger discount for a longer subscription, so you could pay for a year upfront ($275) and end up getting it for $22.92 per box.

Update on Charm Redemption

So, you can earn "charms" for reviewing the items that came in your box and also for referring people, then use those charms like money to purchase full-sized products from the "charm room". Last time I looked, there were just a couple of items and it would take months and months of reviews to be able to get anything for free. It was the end of January so I thought that maybe that's just what was left over, so I said I would check again later for you guys. Welp.

Um...there's nothing there. I have no idea how this works or when they replenish the room, so I guess if I get any additional info I'll tell you in a later post.

So, now let's take a look at every product that could be in the February boxes. I wanted to show you this so that you can see what I could have gotten and how much taking the quizzes influence what comes in your box.

Apparently, the 4 on the top row were "choice" products, but I was too late subscribing to choose so I just had my fingers crossed. You will also get a selection of 4 additional products from the rest, depending on your profile. Weirdly, I got 2 products in my box that weren't even on this list and I'm thinking they're actually psychic.

Now, let's see what I got!

BoxyCharm February 2020 Unboxing

The box includes a card right on top and February's box theme is Adore. It has foam padding to keep everything nice and safe.

First out is the Luxie Complete Sponge Set ($40). YAY!!!

This is one of the items I had my fingers crossed for. It was either this one or the set of Alamar Cosmetics Complexion Brushes. I would have happily taken either, but my Beauty Blender is almost at the end of its life and I'm a sponge application girl all the way.

"No makeup routine is complete without the right blending sponges, and the LUXIE Complete Sponge Set allows you to create looks like the pros right at your own vanity.

SET INCLUDES:

  • Detail Blender
  • Precision Blender
  • Powder Blender

WHAT IT DOES:

  • Detail Blender is the key to a flawless base before you even apply foundation; this sponge helps blend out concealer and corrector under the eyes and over any blemishes
  • Precision Blender is an airbrush machine in a sponge; the flat ends help blend out any cream or liquid foundation without streaks or patches
  • Powder Blender lets you bake like the pros, for a chiseled face and cheekbones you can see from a plane"

I've never used chiseled sponges so I'm excited to play with these!

Next out is Amika Supernova Moisture and Shine Cream ($25).

"A weightless, conditioning leave-in cream that adds shine, detangles, tames frizz, and protects hair from heat styling."

I've tried (and loved) a few other Amika products, so I'm happy to see this in my box!

Next out is the PUR 4-in-1 Correcting Primer Energize and Rescue ($34).

"Your face is your canvas. Prep it for a flawless makeup look with this energizing and skin-nourishing 4-in-1 Correcting Primer Energize & Rescue. Packed with good-for-your-skin ingredients such as probiotics, aloe, caffeine and coconut water, this primer acts as a beauty tonic to help smooth and soothe your skin before makeup application while improving skin hydration and reducing the appearance of redness."

This is one of the two products not listed in the February box items. I've never tried anything from PUR and this primer sounds great for my dry skin. I've heard really good things about their Love Your Selfie Foundation so I'm looking forward to trying it.

Next out is unlisted product #2, the MŌDA PRO 5-PC Deluxe Eye Kit ($27.95, psst! You can get it at Walmart for $18.99!).

"This line features superior quality filaments and modern, professional shapes. Use this kit to create endless on-trend eye looks.

  • Shade | BMX-466: Apply color to your lid or use as a smarter blending brush to soften harsh lines.
  • Crease | BMX-430: Define and blend the crease or use to buff over your entire lid.
  • Detail | BMX-420: The pointed tip on this eye brush is ideal for applying shadow, or highlighting your inner corner.
  • Smudge | BMX-402: The perfect size for applying color on your upper and lower lash lines, or smudging eyeliner for a soft smoky look.
  • Line | BMX-498: Expertly line upper and lower lash lines with the chiseled edge. Also ideal for filling in brows."

You know how I wanted both the sponges and brushes? I can't believe that I got both! It's not a complexion set but this eye set includes some brushes that I've been needing and they're so dang soft! Plus, I'm loving the matte black handles that are kind of rubbery for grip. I'm so happy to get these!

Last out is the biggie and they sent me just what I wanted!!! It's from my favorite skincare brand; Kate Somerville Kx Active Concentrates Bio-Mimicking Peptides ($98!).

"Meet your esthetician in a bottle! Introducing Kx Active Concentrates, Kate’s signature collection of high-performance serums tailored to transform specific skin concerns.

Kate specially formulated this highly active concentrate to transform dull, sagging skin into visibly firmer, smoother, refreshed-looking skin. After just 1 week, 97% of women reported their skin appeared visibly tighter."

Yes, please.

I've never tried the Active Concentrates line but I'm super excited to try this serum. I was sure they would send me something else because my profile says I want more makeup and also that I love eyeshadow, so I was pretty sure I would be getting the palette. I had my fingers crossed to get this because I love Kate Somerville Skincare so much. Are they psychic?

There were a few other products I would have liked, but overall I'm so happy with what I received!

The value of the BoxyCharm box I received was $224.95!!!

The current promotion is a choice of either the Storybook Cosmetics Little Briar Rose Eyeshadow Palette, $55 (Use code: LOVESTORY) or the Dr. Brandt Hydro Biotic Recovery Sleeping Mask, $52 (Use code: DRLOVE).

I have the small Robin Hood Storybook Palette and it is adorkable. The colors are vibrant and nicely pigmented and the palette design makes me squee. I love, love, love all of the Storybook palettes and this is one of the big ones.

I've never tried this mask from Dr. Brandt, but you also can't really go wrong with their skincare products, so it's a great choice, too.

SPOILERS AHEAD!

So far we know that March's box will include a choice of:

I was a little bit bummed to see the choice because there is nothing here that I really want or need. I have a travel curling iron set, I have a millionty eye creams, and I don't have lip lines. I wanted to see makeup, more specifically, makeup from Rihanna's Fenty Beauty.

I heard that March's box was a collab with Fenty Beauty and I died. I've been wanting to try out some of their products and I thought the big "choice" item would be a Fenty product but alas, it looks like BoxyCharm Premium members are getting all of the Fenty Beauty goods. Oh, well.

I then did some more digging and saw that we might get:

the Hank & Henry Living In Color Palette, or...

a BoxyCharm branded palette.

Hmmm. I'm just not crazy about any of the March choices. Maybe it's just the Fenty letdown that did it, but we'll see what I get in March's box in a month! In the meantime, let's just see what we're missing, shall we.

*SIGH*

A note about the future of Allure Beauty Box unboxings here: Well, they got me, guys. I checked the free gift with a 1-year subscription on February 1st and they brought back the mega beauty bundle I showed you in this post. I did it. I subbed for a year.

They're shipping now so I'll be back maybe next week to unbox the Allure Beauty Box for February and I'll also be unboxing the Mega Beauty Bundle. Mwahahaaa!

I was thinking about doing a video unboxing for the bundle. I'll have to get dressed in actual clothing instead of perpetual pajamas, so we'll see how that works out. What do you guys think?

What do you think of BoxyCharm? What were your favorite items? I love to read your comments!
