Hey! Today's post is a fun recipe that's a blast from the past: school lunch pizza! I have fond memories of this pizza from high school in the '90s and when someone posted the recipe on Facebook (thanks, Gannie!) I decided it was a must-try. There are a few watch-outs and I made a little change from the original, but eating it brings back so many memories, and the kids loved it! Keep reading for the full recipe with instructions!

Hey, guys! With Easter closing in, I thought I would share an alternative to serving a ham or turkey. Some of you may already do a brisket for Easter. Even if you have your own tried and true recipe, you may want to try this one! It slow-cooks in your oven all night for a fall-apart brisket the next day. Minimal effort, big payoff. Tender, juicy beef on crusty rolls with mayo and horseradish? Heaven!

Monday, February 20, 2017
March is one of my husband's favorite times of year. Is it because the weather is warming and spring is in the air? Nope. It's college basketball tournament time. He loves the games, I love the get-togethers. This year, I'm taking our entertaining up a notch with drinks and a spread that are a little more chic for a get-together that's perfect for the grown-ups. Keep reading for my Honey Apricot Almond Cheese Round recipe (the savory and sweet together is amazing!) and the fun printables I used in my own setup.

Hi, guys! I have a brand new recipe for you today using mushrooms, the Healthy Living Made Simple superfood for September and October. I'm using baby portobellos and stuffing them with a savory Mediterranean mix of Italian sausage, fresh garlic and spinach, and feta cheese, and topping them with a little melted mozzarella. They are a super-delish use of this superfood and they're easy to make too!

I have a delicious recipe for you today: potato balls. The potatoes are crunchy on the outside, soft and creamy on the inside, and can be stuffed with a variety of flavors. Talk about comfort food!
These are stuffed with a bold and savory South American-inspired ground beef mix, but you can use ground turkey or chicken if you like. You can spice it up with diced peppers or tone it down to fit your tastes, and they are amazing served with sour cream and salsa or a sriracha mayo. Enjoy!

Hi, guys! I don't know what the weather is like where you are, but here we're in the throes of full-blown Southern summer heat. I like to avoid heating up my kitchen for long periods, so today I've got a recipe for you to try that is made from start to finish in a slow cooker. It is a Mississippi Pot Roast.
This is one of my family's favorite chilly-weather recipes and it's so easy to prepare. This Crockpot Southwest Chili Recipe takes about 15 minutes to prep, but then you simply throw the ingredients into a crockpot and let it simmer for about 6 hours on its own. That's it! This Southwest-style chili can cook by itself while you work, run errands, or play with the kids.
Any Brussels Sprouts fans here? Me neither. At first, anyway.
I grew up hating the "Tiny Cabbages", and refused to eat them. When I married my husband, he begged me to try them, which is strange because he isn't a big veggie lover, so I thought I would give them a go. We had them steamed in a butter sauce and how wrong I was! They were delicious! To me, anyway. I was still trying to find ways to get my kids to like them.
I ran across a recipe for Buccatini with Brussels Sprouts, Sausage, & Gorgonzola Cheese on Italian Food Forever, so I adapted it for the tastes of my family and it was a success! I had to change it up for two reasons: 1, Availability of ingredients in our small city and 2, No way would I get anyone to eat chopped nuts on a dish. I know, crazy right? I have to choose my battles. My daughter loves it and at least my son doesn't actively complain when he eats it, which is still a win. Husband loves it as well.
So whether you love them or hate them, you might like this dish. Try it out and tell me what you think! If you have access to Buccatini & Gorgonzola, you can go and try the original too.

This is the ultimate favorite in our house. Also with most of our guests who have had it. Take the best of pizza and tacos, put it all together and what do you get? A delicious mess. Delicious.
