Easy Overnight Maple & Brown Sugar Oatmeal Recipe

I recently saw a recipe like this from OAMM that has you cook it overnight in the crockpot, but that's just too much trouble for oatmeal ;), so I adapted it for soaked oats (that sit in your fridge overnight), added in some molasses, and it gets zapped in the microwave in the morning. Easy! I made them for the kids and they're so yummy!

Overnight Maple & Brown Sugar Oatmeal

Adapted from Once A Month Meals 

Servings: 2

Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 3 minutes
Total time: 8 minutes

  • 1-1/2 cups Milk
  • 1-1/2 cups Old Fashioned Rolled Oats
  • 2 Tbsp. Maple Syrup
  • 1 Tbsp. Molasses
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter

  1. Combine all ingredients except the butter in a bowl and mix well. 
  2. Split between 2 containers (I use mason jars), top each with 1 Tbsp. of the butter, cover, and refrigerate overnight. 
  3. When ready to heat, remove lid and microwave on high for 2-3 minutes and stir.
