When the weather gets chilly, we move from after school snacks like granola bars and trail mix to something quick and warming, but quick doesn't have to mean compromising nutrition or quality. I have a great time-saving lunch, after school snack, or dinner option for you and I also created a fun printable Kids' Placemat that is full of games to keep them busy so you can get more done!

As parents, our schedules this time of year are busier than ever. We have the kids' school, homework, and extracurricular activities on top of holiday shopping and prep. Not a great mix. You want ways to make things a little easier, like not cooking every day, but don't want to skimp on nutrition.

There's a solution for that. There is an option in the frozen foods section that is both delicious and nutritious. I mean really nutritious. Like hidden veggie nutritious.

If you haven't heard of Kidfresh, you should check them out. They are frozen meals that are as kid-friendly as they come, but parent-friendly too. They contain no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives, and use non-GMO ingredients. To sweeten the deal, they are packaged in BPA-free trays and all Kidfresh boxes are eco-friendly and made from 100% recycled cardboard as well.

The Kidfresh Wagon Wheels Mac + Cheese is made with real cheese and has pureed carrots in the sauce. Kids don't even know how healthy their meals are!

Mmmmmm. Real cheese.
So they get a healthy meal and you get a break. Sounds good to me. :) I know they're my new favorite for chilly afternoons and those nights when I'm so busy I don't even want to consider that dinnertime is fast approaching.

Kidfresh is just now in Walmart stores, so now you can grab them on your regular shopping trips. Find them in the frozen foods section near the meals.

Right now you can save $1.00 on Kidfresh meals. This deal is available through Ibotta (mobile friendly) or Coupon.com (desktop friendly), so choose which one works best for you and save some dough.

And then save some sanity. If your kids are anything like mine, 4 minutes to prepare something in the microwave is way too long. I created this placemat to help keep them busy both before and after the meal. Need to get a few things done? These will ensure at least 15 minutes of busy time.

Start by printing out a placemat (or a few.) Get the printable pdf here (the quality will be better than printing the image below), and print it at "Fit to Page."

Then set the table. These would also be great to set the holiday kids' table with. Just print a placemat for each child, set the table with them, and put a box of crayons in the center. Happy kids!

And it makes easy cleanup after the meal for you. Just toss the whole thing when they're done.

I hope you enjoy these fun placemats; I know both you and your kids will enjoy the Kidfresh meals! Happy Holidays!
