Hi, beauties! Today I have a fun beauty DIY for an easy lip scrub to help exfoliate dead skin and keep your lips soft and conditioned. I'm using brown sugar because it's more gentle than white and almond oil for its moisturizing properties, but I'll give you other options, too. You probably have all of the ingredients in your kitchen already. Let's make it!

If you wear lipstick often, you know exfoliation is a must for lips because lipstick emphasizes every bump and flake. This is a great mixture to keep on hand to exfoliate during your evening skincare routine or in the mornings before putting on makeup.

You can also add in a drop or two of your favorite essential oil. I'm using a drop of Peppermint oil for a refreshing feeling when I exfoliate.

If you don't have almond oil, you can also use:

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tablespoon of brown sugar (can also use white sugar)
  • 1 teaspoon almond oil (or oil of your choice)
  • (optional) 1-2 drops of essential oil, like Peppermint

Directions:

1. Place the sugar, oil, and 1-2 drops of essential oil, if using, in a small bowl and mix thoroughly with a fork.

2. Place the lip scrub in a small, airtight container. It will last you a few weeks!

To use, get a pea-sized amount on your finger and rub across your lips to exfoliate. Rinse (or just lick your lips!), then use a lip balm or oil to seal in moisture. Use daily!

I hope you have fun with this recipe. You can really make it your own by using different oils, essential oils, or even adding in a drop of vanilla extract. Yum!
