Hi, guys! I'm here with the Allure Beauty Box unboxing for September 2020. This month's box was stuffed with products from Wander Beauty, Elemis, La Roche-Posay, E.L.F., Cleo Noir, Glam Up, & Waterless, including 2 (3?) full-size products. I'll walk you through it + I've got FULL SPOILERS for October's box. Let's unbox it!

If you're new to these unboxings, Allure Beauty Box is a monthly beauty product subscription box that has a mix of makeup, skincare, haircare, and (sometimes) perfume and nail products. You get 5+ product picks from the editors with at least 2 full-size products a month with a value of $70+. It costs $15 a month and the shipping is free. You can see all of my past Allure unboxings here.

Allure Beauty Box - September 2020

When you open it, there's a little magazine right on top telling you all about the products inside and every month there are exclusive discount codes included in the booklet for some of the box products.

First out of the box is a full-size Wander Beauty Unlashed Volume & Curl Mascara ($24).

"Our award-winning intensely glossy, black, multitasking mascara volumizes, lengthens and curls lashes to new heights while strengthening and conditioning them with a proprietary blend of lash-loving ingredients. A perfect on-the-go makeup essential for achieving desired lash drama."

I have been wanting to try this one! I have their Mile High Lengthening Mascara and like it but really need more volumizing and curling benefits. This also has nourishing ingredients like vitamin E and licorice root. Super happy to get this one!

Next out is a Travel-size Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm ($14).

"Our No.1 best seller transforms into 3 unique textures for the ultimate cleansing experience. It nourishes as a balm, easily removes makeup as a cleansing oil and hydrates as a cleansing milk. The mineral oil-free formula also infuses Rose and Mimosa waxes with Elderberry, Starflower and Optimega™ Oils. Its unique blend of 9 essential oils including Lavender, Chamomile and Eucalyptus smell like heaven in a jar to invigorate the senses. Skin is left feeling deeply cleansed, soothed and supremely soft."

I actually saw this recently and wanted to try it, so I'm glad that we got this. You can actually buy the travel-size on their site so if you'd like to give it a try before shelling out $64 for the regular size, it's only $14.

I've been getting more of a loss of firmness as I age so I'm doing what I can to stimulate new collagen with microneedling and pro-collagen and peptide products, so I'll see if this makes any difference for me.

Next out is a full-size E.L.F. Highlighting Brush ($4).

"A slim, tapered brush designed for precision highlighting on the cheekbones and brow bones to achieve a strobing effect. Perfect for using with a highlighter to achieve an illuminating glow, or to sculpt and contour the face. The Taklon, synthetic bristles are vegan and cruelty free."

I have found so many products to love from E.L.F.. Their products overall are pretty darn good and you can't beat the prices. When makeup brushes are regularly $20-$40 each, seeing a good one for just $4 is fantastic.

FYI, shopping on the E.L.F. site is great, too. They regularly have sales and deals on their already low-priced offerings, but also, shipping is free over $15!

Next out is a .17 oz. sample of La Roche-Posay Anthelios 50 Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid (1.7 oz. is $36.99 so this sample is worth approx. $3.70).

"La Roche-Posay Anthelios 50 Mineral Ultra-Light Sunscreen Fluid SPF 50 is an advanced 100% mineral sunscreen. Provides antioxidant protection in a revolutionary ultra-light texture. Non-whitening, fast absorbing, weightless texture. Skin feels hydrated with a matte finish. Suitable for use under makeup. "

This sounds like a really lovely sunscreen. It's supposed to feel lightweight and hydrating with a matte feel, so we'll see!

Next out is a Cleo Noir Twist Up Eyeliner in Purple ($18???).

"Our convenient Twist Up Liner gives you lines you crave without the hassle of sharpening.  Open the door to limitless looks with the vivid lineup of colors to keep’em guessing.  The precise tip and ultra-smooth formula lets you create striking eye looks with no dragging or pulling.  This budge proof liner makes chic and convenient go hand in hand."

This liner is supposed to be a full-sized product but it is the smallest eyeliner pencil I've ever seen (for size reference, look at my finger compared to the box size). The actual pencil looks like a travel size but the volume on the box is the same one listed at $18 on their site, so....hope it's good?

Just an aside: why is everyone sending out purple eyeliner all of a sudden? This is the 3rd purple pencil I've received lately. It's pretty but I'll be 80 still trying to use up all this purple liner.

Next out is a Glam Up Revitalizing Japanese Sake Sheet Mask (10 pack is $9.98 so each mask is worth approx. $.99).

"Healthy Skin means using the best ingredients for our skin. Glam Up Japanese Sake mask contains nutritious ingredients that softens rough skin. Recommended for all skin troubles, such as dull and rough textured skin. Apply, Clarify, Heal and See Your Skin Healthier! By applying Glam Up Sake Sheet Mask for 20 minutes will smooths, brightens and improve elasticity dull skin. Cruelty-free. Free from Alcohol, Talc, Paraben, Silicone, Synthetic Color, Triethanolamine, Sodium Sulfate, BHT, Benzophenone"

In the quotes from the company about their products (in italics above), I try not to correct spelling or grammar, but this one was tough to leave alone. 😅

This is a Korean skincare company and I couldn't find a site for them, but they do sell on Amazon. They have a huge array of masks and they're really affordably priced.

I can't lie: I was kinda hoping for the Aloe mask because I can't imagine dealing with the smell of Sake on my face for 20 minutes, but maybe they put some fragrance in? Here's hoping!

Last out is a bonus item: a travel-size Waterless Dry Conditioner-Instant Moisture ($3.99).

"Conditions dry hair to control frizz, great for thick hair. Best on thick hair, this leave-in conditioner spray controls frizz and flyaways, moisturizes dry ends, and detangles without water. Plus, it’s paraben- and sulfate-free."

I was actually shopping for dry shampoo when I saw this and wanted to give it a try. That's why I love getting these boxes so much! I get to try before I shell out for a full-size. The full size is only $6.49 at Target so it's not a big spend but I've bought so much crap in the past that I'm over it. 🙄

This sounds pretty cool and I'm excited to give it a try the next time I need to break out the dry shampoo.

So that was the full September Beauty Box from Allure. The box costs $15 per month and it had a value of approximately $68.68.

This box had one of the lowest values I can remember getting in a long time but it is one of my favorites. It seems like they didn't just toss in overpriced stuff to make it seem like a better deal, but they included a lot of products that are either cutting-edge or have a proven track record. I'm also really happy to get a little more makeup in this one. I'm skincared out!

What do you think about this month's box?

SPOILERS AHEAD! Allure Beauty Box October 2020 items:

October's Box will include:

This looks like it's going to be another good box! There are a lot of products in it I'm interested in, especially that Sigma Liquid Lip; The color is gorgeous!

The New Member Gift right now is:

A .38 oz. sample of the Sisley Paris Black Rose Cream Mask. The 2 oz. size is $166 so this is a pricey little sample.

The Mega Beauty Bundle gift, free with a 1-year subscription, is still available but it changed a bit to be 17 items with a $255+ value. If you didn't catch my unboxing video of the mega gift bundle, you can find that here.

I hope you enjoyed this month's unboxing! You can get the Allure Beauty Box for yourself here.
