Hi, guys! I'm here with the Allure Beauty Box unboxing for November 2020. This month's box was stuffed with products from Dermelect, NatureLab Tokyo, Acure, Manna Kadar, Neogen, Josephine, SkinMedica, and When, including 3 full-sized products. I'll walk you through it + I've got FULL SPOILERS for December's box. Let's unbox it!

If you're new to these unboxings, Allure Beauty Box is a monthly beauty product subscription box that has a mix of makeup, skincare, haircare, and (sometimes) perfume and nail products.

Allure's pricing and box contents/value have changed! You now get 6 or more products valued at $100+ (previously 5 or more products valued at $70+) with at least 3 full-size items (previously at least 2). The new cost is $23/month (previously $15) or $250/year (previously $165) and the shipping is free.

You can see all of my past Allure unboxings here.

Allure Beauty Box - November 2020

When you open it, there's a little magazine right on top telling you all about the products inside and every month there are exclusive discount codes included in the booklet for some of the box products.

First out of the box is a full-size Dermelect Self Esteem Beauty Sleep Serum ($42).

"Fine lines, dark age spots, clogged pores, and wrinkles are all telltale signs of aging, photoaging, and unhealthy skin. Dermelect Self-Esteem Beauty Sleep Serum is a highly concentrated anti-aging exfoliator that stimulates collagen-building cell activity while working to help reduce wrinkling. It provides you with the ability to literally level your fine lines and produce noticeable results.

Containing collagen-boosting Vitamin C, an antioxidant which helps lighten hyperpigmentation leaving you with a brighter, more even complexion. Simply apply this anti-aging exfoliator, leave on overnight, and see the dramatic skin renewing results in the morning. Results in drastically smaller-looking pores, smoother skin, and a brighter, more even complexion."

I've used a few Dermalect lip care products and liked them so I think I'll enjoy this serum. I often do an overnight mask but I like the idea of an exfoliating serum that works while you sleep.

Next out is a very large sample of Acure Ultra Hydrating 12 Hour Facial Moisturizer (Full size is 1 oz. for $18.99 so this .67 oz. sample is worth approx. $12.66).

"Intense moisture for super thirsty skin types. Adaptogenic ashwagandha, holy basil, reishi, cordyceps, and turmeric soothe and protect while free radical scavenging spinach, kale, and spirulina de-stress."

I've tried 3 Acure products and I've really enjoyed every one. These are also more affordably priced and more readily available at Target stores, which I like. I'm hoping this one works for me just as well as the others I've tried (scrub, cleanser, mask) because my skin is parched right now!

Next out is a sample of Neogen Dermalogy Real Ferment Micro Essence (Full size is 5.07 oz. for $38 so this .67 oz. sample is worth approx. $5.07).

"A hydrating essence is formulated with more than 93% of micro bio-fermented complex including Bfida ferment lysate, Saccharomyces Ferment Filtrate, Betula Alba Juice, Rice Ferment Filtrate, and Aspergillus ferment, which instantly delivers benefits of moisturizing, brightening, skin-plumping to skin.

This naturally fermented essence is instantly absorbed into skin to maximize the skin benefits without leaving skin feeling sticky. It also helps create the best skin condition for next skincare steps, achieving a healthy, supple, and glowing skin."

Hmmm. So this is one of those essence/serums that help your skincare soak in better? Interesting.

Next out is a sample of NatureLab Tokyo Perfect Shine Clarifying Scalp Scrub (8.8 oz. is $16 so this 1 oz. sample is worth approx. $1.92).

"The NatureLab. Tokyo Perfect Shine Clarifying Scalp Scrub is a gentle foaming sugar scrub with probiotic-rich sake water. Gently removes product build-up and environmental impurities to reveal healthy scalp and immensely shiny hair.

Free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, gluten, vegan, and cruelty-free."

I've tried the shampoo and conditioner from this line and really liked it. It also smelled amazing! This is also another one of those brands on the more affordable side and is available at Ulta. I love a good scalp scrub so I'll be using this one soon.

Next out is a full-sized Josephine Cosmetics Eye/Dazzle The Liquid Metallic Eyeshadow in Leona ($30).

"Dazzling. Glimmering. Exquisite. Luxe, natural, and vegan liquid eyeshadow that opens the eyes with long-wearing gleam.

A rich and sparkling color, EYE/DAZZLE has a lightweight, botanical-infused texture that glides on smoothly and provides highly pigmented color. Enriched with Shea Butter for blend-ability, this creamy, metallic eyeshadow delivers a dose of instant glamour, opening the eyelids with hours-worth of bold shimmer."

This comes in a very cool-looking tube with a reservoir tip applicator. I gave it a swatch on my hand and the color is gorgeous! The pigment needs to be rubbed on directly with the applicator and left to dry to get that opaque color, though. I was able to blend out the edges fairly easily, but if I touched an opaque spot it got patchy.

Good news, though. It's very long-wearing and won't rub off. I think it will work beautifully as an eyeliner!

Next out is a full-sized Manna Kadar Perfect Lip Bliss Moisturizing Lip Mask ($22).

"It's time to give your lips a little spa time. Manna Kadar Lip Bliss Lip Mask contains emollients to give dry lips a little hydration, and vitamins to aid in the appearance of softer, smoother looking lips. Not only is Lip Bliss Lip Mask a soothing and hydrating balm, If you have dry cuticles, a little dab can help moisturize dry nail beds."

This is another brand I've tried and enjoyed. I got their Champagne Charcoal Body Scrub in another box and used it up! It smelled amazing and made my skin feel very smooth and hydrated. I'm big into lip treatments, especially right before I go to bed, so this will hit my bedside table for sure.

Next out is a set of SkinMedica Instant Bright Eye Masks (a set of 6 pairs are $48 so one set is worth $8).

"These cooling gel patches soothe and hydrate the under-eye area for an instant refresh. Unique hydrogel technology reduces the appearance of puffiness to help eyes look youthful and rested."

I could use some depuffing! This will go in the mask stash for a rough morning.

Last out is a When The Last Choice Sheet Mask (you can buy a single mask for $5 or a box of 4 for $18).

"The soft, jelly-like mask sheet is made from coconut juice and is infused with light, comforting serum. When The Last Choice contains sodium hyaluronate and saccharide isomerate to help keep skin moisturized. All When masks contain hyaluronic acid and ginseng extracts to help keep skin healthy."

I'm using up all of the most hydrating masks in my stash right now so I'm glad to be able to give this one a try. Another affordable product!

So that was the full November Beauty Box from Allure. The box costs (now) $23 per month and this one had a value of approximately $126.65.

So, this box was interesting. It had a lot of good items inside but the value was around $50 less than last month. We also got all skin/hair care items except for 1 makeup item. It seems like that's been the way this box has been going since the pandemic started and I'm not a fan.

I would love to see them increase the number of either makeup items suited to mask-wearing (natural/longwear/no-budge) or hair care items. I'm skincared out for 2020.

What do you think about this month's box value vs. the price increase?

SPOILERS AHEAD! Allure Beauty Box December 2020 items:

December's Box will include:

Hmmm. While it looks like I'll get my wish with more pretty makeup, it looks like December's box will have fewer items with even less value. That's strange because beauty boxes usually do some kind of special blowout December box and I'm just not seeing it here. This makes my decision not to renew in January quite a bit easier.

Don't get me wrong, Allure Beauty Box is still a great box! It's just now that they've raised the price, they have too many competitors with better boxes at the same price point. 🤷‍♀️

The New Member Gift right now is:

The same gift as last month. New members will receive an AMOREPACIFIC Time Response Eye Reserve Creme as the bonus item. They say it's a $52 value, but since the full size is $260, this is definitely going to be a sample.

It looks like they've done away with the Mega Beauty Bundle, which is a shame since it was such a great sign-up gift. If you didn't catch my unboxing video of the mega gift bundle, you can find that here.

I hope you enjoyed this month's unboxing! You can get the Allure Beauty Box for yourself here.
