Weekly Wrap-Up #10

We have storm damage on the roof, so we're having to replace the whole thing. We've been dealing with insurance to get it fixed; I didn't even know they covered roofs! The lady who cuts our yard (mower broke down, smh) asked if we had called about that damage yet, lol. Now that we have, it's a bit of a load off our minds. This house is an old monster, so that's a lot of roof to replace!
It seems like everything is coming at once now that school is ending, my son is graduating, and we have both of their birthdays coming within a few weeks of each other. It's such a happy time, but a little stressful for the mom who has to do all the planning, lol. It'll be fine, but right now I could use a breather.
Good news on the medical front: The new meds are working okay. Not great, but I'm not in as much pain, so yay!
I had a fun post go out if you haven't seen it. I was sent an Echo to play with and I am smitten. It is seriously the coolest piece of tech I've ever played with.
My daughter loves it so much I'm thinking about getting her an Echo Dot for her birthday. We had a sleepover this weekend and the girls were mesmerized. They spent hours in my office playing with the Echo, so I think I hit on the perfect gift.
They have the regular dot on sale for $40 right now, but they also have a kids' edition that has a cushioned casing, automatic parental controls, and a year of FreeTime Unlimited which has a ton of content for kids, so I think that's the way I'm going to go.
You might think a kid might not be so excited to get that as a gift, but once they've played with an Echo, it will be their favorite gift.
I'm also working on a few more posts for the coming weeks. One is a cute snack for your next family movie night, so look for that one this coming Friday. :)
Hope you guys had an amazing week!
