Hi, guys!!! Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and I wanted to bring you a recipe that will melt anyone's heart (even if it's just your own heart 😉): Orange Dark Chocolate Chip Scones with Orange-Vanilla Glaze. These fluffy, biscuit-like (for us Americans) treat is best served warm while the dark chocolate is melty and gooey, and they're also filled with fragrant orange zest for a delicious combination. They're thinly-glazed with an orange and vanilla sugar mixture that compliments them perfectly.

Today I'm sharing my family's favorite breakfast recipe: Vanilla Spice Pancakes. The batter is flavored with vanilla extract and spiced with cinnamon and ground cloves; We're not talking Holiday flavors here, but just the right amount to make those ho-hum pancakes into something absolutely delicious. I've also got some tried-and-true tips and tricks for making pancake breakfasts easier and for getting the perfect pancake (hint: if you haven't tried a cast-iron skillet for pancakes, you should!)

If you're a fan of Cheerios (and who isn't?!) I have a fantastic post for you today. These sweet and slightly salty bars are great as a breakfast bar or an on-the-go snack and will keep you going all day, and right now you can share the love with the Cheerios Buy One, Give One promotion too.

By now you've probably heard of food prepping. It's a method of performing tedious food prep while you have the extra time so you can reap the benefits when you don't. I've done this quite a bit with freezer cooking and it is a godsend. You may have seen those impressive posts where someone completes a week or month's worth of meals in one day and thought it looked like too much trouble, but you don't have to go to the extreme, or even do it regularly. If you know you have a busy week or few days coming up, you can prep a few meals or a lot to help save your sanity.
Do you like the crystal-clear meal prep containers I'm using? Keep reading to get the chance to win a set of them for yourself! [GIVEAWAY CLOSED]

Many of you know that this New Year I have #goals, and my biggest goal is to be healthier. That sounds a bit vague, but I want it to affect every part of my life, from the relationships I maintain to the way I treat my body. One of the biggest parts of that last one is the food that we eat. Convenience is great, but I have to re-train myself to choose healthier options, especially when it comes to breakfast.
Healthy breakfasts can be convenient and delicious. I just proved that to my whole family with this amazing honey-drizzled, blueberry Smoothie Bowl. It brings variety, deep flavors, sweetness, texture, and my favorite part, crunch.

Did you know that January is National Hot Tea Month? It makes sense since a hot cup of tea is the perfect warmer on a cold winter's day, so go ahead and brew one up! And since you're already having tea, you might as well make some scones to go with that cuppa. ;) Luckily, I have the ideal recipe for wintertime scones using seasonal ingredients that are so perfectly paired, it's a match made in foodie heaven. Blueberry buttermilk scones + a sweet Meyer lemon glaze = Yes, please.

Today I have an amazingly delicious make-ahead breakfast casserole recipe for a special holiday morning. This Praline Pecan French Toast & Sausage Breakfast Casserole has breakfast sausage on the bottom, french toast in the middle, and a toasted praline pecan topping that is the perfect sweetness to go with the savory. It gets prepped the night before and baked in the morning. The name may sound complicated, but it's so easy, it takes about 15 minutes to prepare.

With Back To School in full swing, I wanted to share a healthy breakfast shake recipe with you. This doesn't taste "healthy", and if the kids don't watch you make it, they won't even know that there's spinach in it! I also use a vanilla-flavored yogurt to put a little extra sweetness in it, but you can use any type of yogurt, sweetener (honey is marvelous), and also any type of berries you like best. Mix it up to come up with a flavor combination that your kids will love!
The yogurt and milk bring Calcium, Vitamin D & B-12 to the table, while the Blackberries, Raspberries, and Blueberries are packed with Vitamin C, antioxidants, and fiber. Add in some spinach for a dose of Vitamin A and Iron, and you have a healthy treat that can get you energized and out of the door in record time.

I recently saw a recipe like this from OAMM that has you cook it overnight in the crockpot, but that's just too much trouble for oatmeal ;), so I adapted it for soaked oats (that sit in your fridge overnight), added in some molasses, and it gets zapped in the microwave in the morning. Easy! I made them for the kids and they're so yummy!
