I've always been a big believer in balanced eating. I grew up with a mother who loved cooking and fresh, healthy foods and while I didn't really appreciate being the only kid in the lunchroom without soda, potato chips, or candy, I fully appreciate it as an adult and I've tried to pass that mindfulness down to my kids.
